Warriors more effective with Lw/BS? Or Dual Bs?

Title says it all. Thinking of running a Deep strike army, with 6 ravs, and 6 warriors. In terms of CC, are the warriors better off with LW/BS or Dual boneswords?

Depends what you're up against...elder/DE/marines...i like the whip to go first...orks/necron/IG...save the points and go dual.
If you want an all-comers...depends on if you want to make sure you go first...or don't mind the possibility of going after or the same time. I prefer the first...and don't ever bank on ID happening.

it's not too much a difference between doubles and lashwhip. You either keep them cheap enough, or take boneswords and pay twice.

I use 2 swords on prime (since ini5 strikes first against MEQ), and lashwhips on his retinue.

I would almost ignore the super-duper CC weapons all together for them and just add deathspitters with nothing else. Use the saved points on squishies to bubble wrap your more expensive stuff and potentially tie up things. I fail to see my cheapo warriors get into close combat unless someone is after them; they warrant less attention on the board if they aren't swinging "no armor saves" deadly things. I'd rather just pump out mass S5 shooting. Just ask yourself if those upgrades per model will make back their points after a round of enemy shooting and overwatch. If you think you can pull it off go for it.

Yeah im prolly gonna run a brood of about 3 shooty warriors at the back, with DS and a Venom Cannon, with some Devilgaunts for cover fire. but CC makes games more interesting

I run them with the prime to make sure I hit on 3s with. I give them the sword and whip to strik first kill more enemies so they do get hit back. I even go as far to put toxin on them. making them kill any and evey thing they fight in CC. This does make them 50 points each yes I know but they all was get more then what they cost cuz i put them in the back of my force with gunts running in the front. So shot the guys in back or the ones that are going to get to me first.

The instant death thingy you get from dual Boneswords is useless. Unless of course you play against Tyranid Neozilla lists often. If not, it is usually worth the extra 5 points to give them the whip. Most importantly, the whip allows you to at least hit simultaneously with most of an enemy unit, should they be hiding in cover. I'd give it to Outflanking warriors. Not so sure how viable those are in 6th edition though. With the prime finally being able to join a unit of outflanking warriors, I guess it could work... Of course depending on the list and what you are usually up against.

Never the less, Lash whips rarely disappoints me.

I'm a fan of lash whips too. Also a massive fan if TS on boneswords. If I'm paying that much for boneswords I really want to make sure they wound whatever they attack. Lash whips, TS and BS makes them CC masters.

Even a few warriors making it to the enemy with this combo will cause a fair bi of trouble.

On page 40. in the rulebook.

If just one model has outflank in the unit, the whole unit has outflank.

With Hive commander, you give a single troop unit hive commander (in this case, our Tyranid Warriors) Outflank. The prime will simply just join the unit and gain the outflank ability because there are now models with the Outflank ability in the same unit.

Changed and changed. in 5th edition we couldn't agree as if it were legal or not... Back when 6th edition was released, I guess most of us were happy to end that chapter of discussion.

Sorry...i haven't had coffee and was experiencing a brainfart...for some reason I was thinking of the rule concerning them joining a unit in a spore. That one still bugs me to no end...
