sick of losing plz help 1000 points

i have played quite a few games now and i always loos

have tried a lot of lists but at turn 4 i have noting left whiteout doing much.

play most of the time against Grey knights but there are a lot of CSM players now so yea.

hope you guys can help me white a list because i don't know it anymore.

Old one eye is bad and expensive, I would never recomend taking him in 1000 points if you want to win.
Two tyrants is a lot of points put into only two units. Variety is sometimes better.
I think a mix between list one and two would be the best.
Tyrants are a bit expensive in 1000 but they can work ok. Taking some shooting anti-tank would probably help a lot. Hive guard, or zoanthropes would probably help quite a bit. Using DoM in a spore is good, but if he is the only one coming in via DS he will be killed too quickly. Try sporing the gants w/ devourers

1000 points is very limited but a lot of fun. You need to make sure you are using units that are able to compete against your opponent and since you know that you are playing against CSM and GK, your 1/2 way there.

Hive Guard, Zoanthropes, Gants w/ Tervigon, Primes, DoM, Poison Attacks, Biovores, Trygon etc. the most important thing is to have fun. Though limited you can still do a lot.

Another point is that nids function well as a swarm and can field WAY more models that either CSM or GK in 1000. Take advantage of that. Anything in our dex with AP3-1 is invaluable against both of these armies.

If you find you are dying too quickly we have a few options now.

Add more T6, especially Tervigons.

Add more psykers and utilise biomancy powers.

Add more bodies in big broods and learn to really spread them to avoid blasts and templates.

If you combine these options, you'll generally come out with a 'standard' nid list.

For 1000 points, a unit of 20 gargoyles could be devastating. if they die, then that means that your tervigons and tyrants havent. if they don't die, then you can be attacking for 40 toxin attacks at the nearest unit, considering they fly. as dakkathrope said, the DoM+spore is good against alot of things, but if you have a 20 gaunt unit w/ devs and spore then the opponent is going to have some trouble. also, 20 toxin gargs, 20 devgaunts w/ spore and the DoM+spore only amount to 510 pts, leaving a space open for tervigon and maybe a tyrant

Moon, personally I liked your 3rd list. I like OOE, like Prime and Warriors, love Hormies, and run all of these. But still, I understand that 260pts model is too much for 1000 game. Going for 2000? He's your guy. Still, you may take him, but you'd better create more targets (one big model will attract all the attention). Tervi can do the trick. Or compensate his cost with something ridiculously cheap, like Rippers.

And if you're fighting against SMs of different sorts, forget the naked Hormies. AG+TS full-pack will be much better, trust me.

I think that the Hive tyrant, hormagaunt, termagaunt, and zornthrope cobo would be useful

this will be useful against marines if you use your cover and haul ass toward close combat. Also if you are able to sub Biomorphs drop the Horms down to ten and add toxic sacs. (this gives you another four points) Drop the lash whips from the warriors, since our initiative is higher than most marines anyway.(this saves you 15 points) Also, since almost no one will be using flying crafts at 1000pt, drop one set of Devourers from the Flyrant. The Flyrant is there to adsorb fire power and have a chance at giving a little bit of butt hurt, just like Doom. (and there is an other 15 points) In total that gives you 34 points to play with. It's not much, but if you know who you are playing it's enough. Good Luck.

First, you'll need anti-tank:
Hive Tyrant+ wings + 2x devourer
1x Harpy + TLHeavy Venom Canon
Not great, but it's a start. Look into Hive Guards in the future.

Second, you'll need durability and as many troops as you can:
Tervigon + Catalyst
12 Termagants + Devourers
20 Hormagants

A second or even third Tervigon (with accompanying Gants) will make your list really strong, especially in objectives games.

Finally, we'll include Doom as he is very powerful for his cost, and can be a game breaker in low points games. Be warned though, he is unpredictable: one game he can destroy an entire flank on his own, another one he'll do nothing. But it's a fun unit that'll keep your opponents on their toes.
Doom in a Pod

With 25 points to spare, let's put Hive Commander on your Tyrant. This will do 2 things: insure your Doom comes in on turn 2 when you need him, and allow you to Outflank the Devourer Gants or even a Tervigon. It also gives you the option to Reserve the Tyrant and Harpy and expect them to arrive turn 2, in case he has some nasty weapons on the table that can put damage on them first turn before they have a chance to swoop.

So final list:
Hive Tyrant + Wings + 2x devourer+Hive Commander 285
1x Harpy + TLHVC 170
1x Doom + pod 130
Tervigon + Catalyst 175
12 Termagants + Devourers 120
20 Hormagaunts 120

1000 points

Reserve the Doom, DevilGants, Tyrant and Harpy if you wish and depending on what the opponent brings. Only the Doom has to start in reserve, so you have 5 units left. 3 of them can start in reserve, so you're good.
Cast Catalyst on the Hormagaunts while they move forward.
Swap your Tyrant's powers for Biomancy and hope for Endurance or Iron Arm.

It's a pretty fragile list, with some expensive and fragile units such as Flyrants, Harpys and Devgants, but it's got a decent punch and good mobility. Look into cheaper more durable units for a more optimised list (Tervigons, plain Termagants, Hive Guards).
