Yamgril Stealers Question

Okay so it states that at the start of each fight subphase you can use the morph power. So I am confused a bit on this and want to know if it works the way I think.

So say we have a group of Y Stealers who assault a group of Marines. Can I at the start of the assault set them up with the +1 Strength run their attacks then at the start of of his Fight Sub Phase (when he would strike back) morph to get +1T or do I have that wrong and I can only change it once per fight phase? so once on my turn on his turn I can do it again?

Assault phase meaning for the entire assault phase for that player turn. On the next player turn you change it.

Fight phase in your turn: pick a morph
Fight phase in his turn: pick a different morph
Rinse, repeat till they or you die

It's just once per assault phase.

Keep in mind also that if you are facing Overwatch fire, you can choose the +1T biomorph to assist in survival of it.

Of course, unless it's a group of longfangs or something of the like...then you just have to pray they suck at dice rolls regardless

Yea, exactly. Depending on the S of the overwatch fire, you may want to do that, or it may make no difference.

Rapidfire bolters it would be useful for...

Although even then only if it's a full squad of 10 or something. I charged mine at 5 Terminators with Storm Bolters, he only got a couple of hits, one wounded and I saved that. 10 S4 AP5 shots don't have much change of killing a T4 4+ armour model when snap-firing. I generally go for +1 attack unless I think I'm going to be taking a lot of hits in return.

Also work on positioning. If you leave only 1 yealer in LoS, but all of them close. Overwatch can only kill one, but the others are still close enough to make the assault.
Similar can be done with cover saves.

Seems to me that, that occasion would be... quite uncommon. Having only one in Los, but yet the rest of them can get in charge range?

Depends on how much you look for it. Ruins, walls, vehicles, etc can all block LoS. Things like Ruins block LoS, but still allow direct movement.

Can indeed work, but difficult to achieve.

Also: Nice way to circumvent the rule that you cannot charge what you cannot see..
Because you DID see them, lost one, and then ate them.

Also: remember that when you are indeed charging through a wall or something LOSbreaking, you'll go at INI 1

Also: Rhino's are perfect height. Especially wrecked ones
