1500 pt list for LGS tourny

ok si my LGS is running a 1500 pt tourney this month .
I have not played in 6th , and i think this would be a good opportunity to get back into it now that summer is over .

I am not real happy with this list as it sits . it is a paired down version of a 2000 pt Mysetic spore list that i think i like .

here it is :

** i am not real happy with this build , he is way too expensive , but i think i need something to deal with fliers . I gave him the TL death spitters in stead of HVC do he can shoot at fliers , gave himn the thorax swarm as a bonus for shooting , and overwatch ( as a MC he can shoot 2 weapons ) TS because his str should be highterthan his oponents , meaning he re roles wounds . regen because he is so expensive that i might as well have it . **

Like I said , I am not real happy with this list , a competative list may not be possable with the models I have , I don't need to win but i would like to be competitive . the last time i entered this tourney was in 5th and i places 3rd with my orcs .

. because This is a tournament I can't proxy stuff . This means I am some what limited on what I can take by models . I only have the 1 tervagon, and the one trygon models . i have a few carnifex models , only 1 hive guard , a swarm lord + 2 TG , and 2 other Hive tyrants . POM , OOE , buckets of GS + 2BL , 3 lictors , and a DL , bucket of rippers , and a couple older metal pyrovores , 5 ravners , and about 8 gargoyles , 45 or so hormies , and 40 or so termies. Mysatic Spores won't be a problem , as I can make them up quick as needed , and with no official model proxy on these is no problem .

If you did some quick and dirty converting could you use a Carnifex as a second Tervigon? Around my neck of the woods players recognize that the Tervigon model came so late to the market that they don't have any problems with us 'Nid players continuing to use our conversions.

Also, what armies do you expect to be up against?

And without getting into list building just yet, you can't have both wings and armoured shell on your Tyrant. It's one or the other. And personnaly if you go Flyrant I'd go with dual Devourers. The extra point of strength allows you to glance transports open and the re-rolls mean you'll put a dent in infantry blobs. Just plan on keeping him Zooming to minimize players chances of grounding him with rubber bands and water balloons.

unlikely i could convert my existing fexen , as they are the older metal screamer models . I have 3 of them + the OOE model .
my current tervagon is converted from an aracnorock spider model using a bunch of carnifex parts i bought as bits on ebay . It actually looks alot like the new GW model . I might have another body around and have been planning to make another one but i doubt i could get it done by next Wednesday which is the deadline for lists .

thanks for the catch on no armored shell and wings on the same model .

the question now becomes , take a flying tyrant or a 2+ walking tyrant . which will be more effective ? I am thinking flier just because of the new rules .

I can spend the extra pts i save on the shell on more hormagaunts which will beaf up that brood .

not sure what i will be facing at the tournament . the last time out i faced an orc army , a guard army in Valkyries and a chaoss marine army . but that was in the last days of 5th edition . I have not had the time to get up to my LGS for and games since 6th came out . too busy with RL .
