Amusing list and league tournament

My months long league is finally over and the final tournament went pretty well ;D

Final standings:

1st: space wolves

2nd: 3 way tie orks, tyranids (me), and blood angels (I think)

3rd: was a tie as well, tau, tau, and some other junk in power armor

Turns out my T6 spammy list does alright versus tau, orks, and not horrendous versus space wolves (could be better )

Mawloc (1) = 170 pts.

1500 pts.

I love my acid spray gun so much now. Also, armored shell wins out over wings for me now. I'd much rather have a 2+ than a chance I'll die to a pellet gun shot and my own weight...or a laser pointer.

I walked out with a free box of demons for my new army. It was a good day!

Awesome man. I'm converting a Tyrant for Armored Shell because the dinky shoulder plates they included aren't enough for me haha, my thoughts on AS vs Wings are the same as yours. Any unit performance highlights you'd like to share? How about the HVC/VC, I'm a VC hater but would love to know if they helped out, particularly the HVC. Any luck gobbles with the Mawloc?

I have horrible rolls on pen with HVC but I can say if you aim for a clustered area of models you're going to hit something with the scatter. I think I got a couple hits versus tau on devilfish and hammerheads. It only amounted to hull point damage. They were all parked pretty close together surrounded by suits so it was a great setup for it though. It's a real threat to have S9 heading towards your multi-wound T4 stuff. VC killed some lootas. Same deal though, if it's a cluster with a roughly 12" radius it's not too hard to make it useful. Versus tiny marine units it's a different story.

Mawloc acted as a road block for deft rollas versus orks and acted as a bullet sponge versus tau. Mawloc smashed the deft rolla to pieces. For tau, he missed pretty badly with scatter but he soaked up all the AP1-3 in that area allowing me to finish melting and running his remaining scoring models off the table . Mawloc wiped most of a space wolf unit with a good hit but then just became jaws-bait. I had no good options in that game with a static list full of very low initiative MC's. Versus space wolves I just hugged the corner on the only two objectives I could survive on and tried not to give up many more points as the drop pods and missiles rained down on me . I'm fairly sure versus longfang spam + drop pods + jaws I had no chance in that game.
