What to do with 2ND edition gants

Hi Hive!

I newly moved to a new area where I discovered a Small hobby store with lots of old comic books and the like.
Here I found a treasure chest of old warhammer stuff, and I bought two boxes of what I think is 2ND edition termagants. The date on the box reads 1996 so i think its correct.
It was an awesome feeling to open a 16 year old box and looking at "fresh" miniatures this old!!

But my question is this: how to use them in my army?

I have two boxes of 6 gaunts each, so not a lot. I thought about using them as tervigon spawn since they are smaller than normal gants.
Any thoughts, advice?

I use mine, like you suggested, as Tervigon units. Since you don't have many, you could just put a couple of the old Gants in each unit that's spawned to help you remember those units were created by the Tervigon.

I do not use my old metal gaunts anymore. Tempted to use my spikerifle ones or the strangle webber ones for fun, but I hate the paintjob.

If you are talking the first plastic set, I use those for my spawned guants as well. Mostly becasue the paint on them is old and spawned units do not have to be displaied for the army paint score in tournies.

Still need to find time to convert my old 2nd Ed. tyrant into a prime. Debating that or my REALLY old school Fexes. Not Screamer Killers (I have 3 of those), but the old gunfex with that STUPID grin.

I had a few hanging around that I plan to use as normal fleshborer gaunts. Clipped off the spikerifle and strangleweb ends to the guns and glued on new fleshborer ones, apart from that I dont see why you wouldn't use them as any other termagaunt even though they look a little different

Do they appreciate in value at all in original package? I would just leave them in the box if they do

I use them (have the old plastic ones and the old metal one) to define the different broods I spawn.

swarmy@ Its the same box, except its 6 models instead of ten. I only opened one, so the other is still neatly wrapped in plastic. But I have no immediate need for money and I would rather have the models for myself.
