6thed MCs still have Powerweapon attacks in CC?

Ok got been reading my copy of 6th ed rules (Dark Vengeance edition) and couldn't see if MCs still have close combat attacs that ignore Armour saves (at least not in the MC unit section)?

checked out this article but they all seem to be drunk when discussing so need some clarification

MCs do all have the Smash Special rule which according to them, makes all cc attacts AP2, and gives you the big bitchslap for half of your attacks.

Please give my soul peace and tell me they are correct, and that my Fexes aren't now utterly useless.

Yup, smash rule allows smash attacks but also makes all attacks AP2. This is also +1 on the vehicle damage table now.

Page 42, under SMASH has your answer.

All of a MC's attacks are AP2. (edit. Because I know someone will say it. They are AP2, unless you have something that lets them be AP1)

Smash lets you halve the number of attacks and gain S10.

All MCs have "Smash", which does a lot more than people think, and where all the special damage rules for MCs went.

What is confusing is that most people think the "Smash" USR is a special attack; but that is not the whole truth. Smash is more complex than that - Smash grants all CC attacks AP2, and allows a re-roll on the Vehicle Damage Chart (if I recall correctly). Smash also allows the option of halving your attacks to double your Strength (max 10).

You only get to reroll armor pen when you make smash attacks, half attacks for double strength. A sneaky Carnifex nerf
