Vassal Mapping

Can someone either PM me or post in here how to make those maps with Vassal. I have a few Batreps I would do if I could figure out that Vassal. Since I never remember to take pictures.

If you have the programs, It's basically drag and drop.
- Make a new room, lock it, and start a new game.
- Open Models, and go to terrain. drag appropriate pieces to their relevant location.
- In models, go to the relevant army, and drag models into Player 1 and Player 2.
- Replicate the game.

Really, just play around with it for 15 minutes, you'll have it figured.

It would be nice to have some help getting started with it. I'm still trying to get my head around it. I've figured out how to get troops on to a map, but I don't know to what extent I can manipulate things. Nor do I know where all the important things are. I only found the shooting bits by accident today.

And it certainly took more than 15 minutes to figure it out

Ok I have Vassal on the computer. (used to play D&D minis on it.) But dont remember how to use it. It says get a module, but there is no 40k module on the website. Is that what is needed and where do you get it ?

Guys, just a heads up but Vassal isn't allowed on TTH. Yori's shut down threads before, GW doesn't like it, and therefor prepare for this thread to lock. Sorry.

Man, if there was a contest for Whiniest Company, GW would atleast be in the final 3. I didn't know they moan about Vassal, maybe if they had anything[/i] to fill the obvious demand for something like Vassal, they wouldn't have anything to whine about. I don't see why Yori would lock this thread, with how many vassal'd batreps go unlocked all the time.

If you read the post itself, you will see that the thread is trying to use vassle for battle report pictures, not for actual games on vassle (which I know isn't allowed)

Even AUX has used vassle pictures for battle reports in the past. I don't know if the policy has changed, but as far as I know, it's not okay to advertise playing vassle here, since that is a violation of copyrights on the Warhammer games, but the pro boards wouldn't get in trouble for someone showing a picture of a vassle game to represent the actual words they are speaking.
