1250 pt list that has worked well

I've recorded two victories in a row with the following list against space wolves. 1000 pt variants of it have also done very well.

HQ
Tervigon with Cluster Spines (psychic power Catalyst) with ad glands and toxin sacs and crushing claws and onslaught

Elites
2 Hive Guard
Doom of Malan'Tai in mycetic spore with cluster spines
8 Ymgarl Genestealers

Trrops
7 Genestealers with toxin sacs and one upgraded to a broodlord with scything talons
6 Genestealers with toxin sacs and one upgraded to a broodlord with scything talons
6 Genestealers with toxin sacs and one upgraded to a broodlord with scything talons
12 Termagants with devourers

Total 1246 pts

Its a very fragile list. The Tervigon attracts a lot of shooting and the genestealers die easily. However, I find that if I rush everything forward there is too much to take down and by turn 2 I'm assaulting. The doom is a bit of a wildcard and the Ymgarls can sometime be a bit late but I find I have just enough left to snag the victory pts I need.

I use Biomancy for the Tervigon and Broodlords which improves survivability no end.

Any thoughts on how this list might fair against non-space-wolf armies?

Any thoughts on what to add for higher pts games?

I'm going to try adding a flyrant with 2 twin-linked devourers. I think the synergy is good with this list.

Better yet, Give the tyrant one set of twin devs and a Stranglethorn Cannon. The stranglethorn is great for locking down the hard hitting enemy shooters by Pinning, thus allowing a smother advance. I question the use of a flyrant though. Wings might not be needed if you that the stranglethorn, seeing it's 36" range. You might instead want to giv him the 2+ save, allowing him to take some fire for your terv and use the extra twenty points to give him regen for when he takes some hits.

Thanks. Once I've got the Tyrant model and painted it I'll try that combo. He does seem quite easy to take down with only 4 wounds.

Just here to help. I have a Tyrant I run with that combo. Once you pin two groups of Necron warriors, a squad of Immortals, and a squad of devastators in one shot, you get how fun it can be. I realize it was good luck, but it was still funny.

Plus, the 2+ armor save helped alot against the Deathmarks. And when he took two hits from them, he regened one and lived to kill them (before getting focused down by the other squad of devastators).
