Hive tyrant Devourer question

ok so in my game today (it was me and a another tyranid player with a necron/space marine player) people had to leave so we called it a draw but due to mistakes we COULD have won but we ended up missing one of our entire assaulting phases. Well on my flyrant i took wings (obviously) bone sword lash whip and replaced the talons for TL devouers. Now here is my question is that a TL devourer per arm (in this case replacing 2) and thus firing 12 shot or is it just one whole TL devourer firing 6 shots

Damn yeah so we ended up just removing my bonesword and lash whip because I shot 12 shots earlier. Now i gotta apologise to him tomorrow for being right. Well damn that sucks lol

Everyone makes mistakes, as long as you weren't knowingly cheating it's no big deal. Good example of why you should have your Codex with you when you play!

We had a codex just the wording confused me along with models I've seen. the wording is "devouers" there is an s. Also when ever I see the models it's always one double headed devourer on each arm thus that made me think it was 2

It is very common to run 2 twinlinked devourers.

Also, back in time.... there was a Nid rule that taking two of the same gun gave you a single twin linked gun.

That is why you see so many fex/tyrants with 4 single devourer guns.
