Tervifex?

I wanted a thread about tervifexes because I want to know what they are , how to equip one . And why theyre good ? I've heard of them and get the general idea - i just want to know more about them thanks in advance

Not quite. You use Smash which doubles strength, gives AP2, but you must halve your attacks (rounded up).
A Tervigon's basic Attacks is 3, smash divides by 2 giving you 2 because you round up. Crushing Claws give you +D3. So you have between 3-5 attacks at strength 10.

Ideally you use a biomancy power and get Warp Speed (but endurance is very useful too), Warp Speed so you get an addidional +d3 means you will now have 4-8 Str 10 attacks as Ap2.

If you upgrade the Tervigon with one or two additional psychic powers you will then have 3 rolls to get a very useful biomancy psychic power.

Basic Tervifex:

Tervigon with CC, TS & AG and at least 2 powers (Base +1) on the Biomancy Chart. = 235 Points

Smash = 2 Str 10 Attacks +1 charging + d3 for CC + D3 for Warp Speed if you have it... re-rolls to wound on 2+

Oh sure, make it really easy to read and understand without having to read through large blocks of text. =P
I did forget to mention the +1 for charging into assault.

Honestly though I wouldn't bother with AG, and TS making the unit only 215. My general tactic I use for a Crush-it-gone is just have it burp out troops on its way to a target. I ram-rod it to my opponent by itself and have the troops break off for smaller targets / objectives. Use endurance until you get within charge distance and then that turn use Warp Speed.

The tervigon is awesome and fills so many rolls, and the psychological effect he has on people is awesome. I love the look on someones face as they realize I just got an extra 150 points worth of scoring models for free and the tervigon making them isn't a pushover just by itself. If I can discourage them I can beat them and the tervigon is VERY discouraging.

Everything Tyranid is meant to kill stuff isn't it? I don't see a pillowgon or a marshmellowfex in the codex.

Well Bredkooler yes everything kills but not everything is exactly geared towards optimizing it's own kill abilities. For example Venomthropes can kill but they are way better at improving other units abilities to kill and survive.

Marshmellowfex is in the upcoming update. I mean how else is the pyrovore supposed to hit flyers except with a flaming marsh mellow.

no I got the marshmellowfex. Lostminds that would be the coolest death I have ever seen I wish we could catapult smaller creatures (like rippers, horms, and terms) into enemy ranks

I bet people wouldn't call Hormagaunts useless if we had a way to catapult them across the board... I should convert a tervimom with a wrist rocket ready to fling death across the table... Yeah I won't be doing that but it IS a good idea... Marshmellowfex Nom Nom Nom.......

I think hormigaunts serve a very important purpose. they soak up over watch to allow your genestealer to finish the enemy off in CC lol. Poor gaunts only ever being used for a shield

Every Carnifex is a Marshmellowfex. Did you never wonder why they died so easily and moved so slow?
