Hey i have a question can i take any of the psyke powers with my Hive Lord or am i stuck with whats in my codex?

Not sure what a hive lord is... But the rulebook is pretty clear about exchanging psychic powers, and the FAQ defines which can be replaced.

Can I just ask, Why would you swap a Tyrant's powers anyway, Parxysm is great so is Leech essence. In Fact the nid I would use the rulebook for Is the Doom- Psychic Shriek instead of Cataclysm (sure Shriek's range is shorter but you don't use D3 wounds after) apart from that all the Nid powers are fantastic, especially the Tervigon's

Paroxysm is a great power, but it is also a shooting attack and only 12" range.

Iron Arm, Endurance, Warp Speed are also great powers, but are not shooting, and have 24" range. (Or self)

The nice thing about swapping psychic powers is, that you don't have to plan on swapping them until the moment just before deployment.

For example: Zoanthropes.
If you see an enemy with lots of tanks, you can keep the Warp Lance and Warp Blast.
If you see lots of infantry, you can go for psychic scream + (rolls on BIO for example)
If you see lots of flyers, you can try and get Objuration Mechanicum (but if you don't roll that, you probably loose a lot of utility in the Zoan squad)
You can also roll Biomancy on a zoan squad, and try to make them into a buff (endurance)/ debuff (enfeeble) engine.

This goes for all our Psychers, which is what people like about them. You can tailor against a certain opponent, without changing your list.
