Hi folks, this is my first post here after lurking for a bit and figured I'd use it to ask for advice on a thousand point list I'm building for my LGS's 40k night tomorrow. I have only been collecting for about 3 months now (did play fantasy way back when, used to be part of the Underempire Skaven forum under the name Warlord Ritchet)so I'm still getting to grasps with the rules and don't know what makes a strong list. A lot of this list is limited to my current collection but any advice is greatly appreciated.
I should note that I am trying to go for a theme of a hive fleet based heavily around flying troops, I hope to embrace that theme more at higher point values with large broods of gargoyles, harpies, and maybe a unit of shrikes, but I wanted to keep a unit of gargoyles in this army nonetheless.

I did the math and the total comes out to 1002 points, I doubt anyone would take this small difference to much to heart in a casual game.
The current meta in my lgs is necrons... Lots, and lots of necrons, with the odd smurf player and a couple fellow nids. I ran one game before with a similar list against a necron army and lost spectacularly, this led me to cut the Indescribable Horror and Old Adversary upgrades from my tyrant, though I'm wondering if this might be a mistake.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
