1500 pt tournament coming up this weekend

need help building a good list.

of course the most common meta at my shop is space marines (as is most) we do have some dark elder, eldar, an ork, guard, and perhaps one or two chaos.

so i need to get a generalized list together in hopes to be able to deal with any of those above choices.

heres what i got so far:

hive tyrant - OA, Armoured Shell, 2x TL Devourers, Regen, 1x Tyrant guard

Venomthrope

2x Tervigons - Catalyst (will swap out for book powers)

15 devilgaunts

5 raveners

Trygon

carnifex - 2x TL Devourers

-----------------
leaves me short 150~pts.


i have tons of other models (winged HT, gargoyles, gaunts, hormies, tyrannofex, genestealers,zoans, carnifexen,biovores)

im just running into a problem writing this list, 1500 is really restricting my ability to grab eveything i want to field, or that i need to field in order to deal with certain units (flyers, heavy tanks)

any ideas on what i can add to this or how i can rearrange this list to make it more viable? thanks!

Without a second unit of termagants, one of those tervigons is an HQ

A single venomthropes screams first blood, and with current cover rolls and all the FAQ hits they have taken, I could barely justify taking them in a list that included 3 trygons, which is really our only model right now that desperately needs the coversaves. Tervigons and tyrants can pretty effectively get it from walls and such (well, ruin walls actually provide 4+cover, but you get the idea)

Also, if you really want to field a single Carnifex, a Mycetic spore for the fex might not be a bad idea.

What has changed? Ymgarls takes a few more hits from Overwatch, but you can morph T5 to mitigate your losses, and you have an easier time against vehicles. Plus Fearless is now grotesquely good. And you have no real answer to Fliers in this list. If you feel that will be a problem, I would probably take out Doom and invest in an Aegis Defense Line with a Quad Gun.

wasnt there some jabber about tyrannies can take fortifications but cannot use the guns?

it's alright anyways, this tournament is disallowing the use of fortifications

Tyranids cannot fire weapons attached to fortifications like hvy bolters.

You can fire a quad gun on a defense line

Pg96 vs pg105. One is a building, one is battlefield debris.
