1000 point nids list, comments appreciated

Hello everybody, it's been awhile sense I've played 40k and I'm new to tyranids, so here's my first list and basic plan.

HQ
Tervigon, crushing claws, adrenal glands, toxin sacs, catalyst, onslaught 235

3 x warriors 2 deathspitters, 1 barbed strangler, toxin sacs, talons 125

17 x Termagants 85

16 x Hormagaunts, adrenal glands, toxin sacs 160

10 x gargoyles, adrenal glands, toxin sacs 80

Total 999

So as simply as it sounds my plan is to rush forwards. Terv will swap out for bio and poop gants. The gants will cover the warriors while they move forward and fire. The reason I gave the warriors toxin sacs is so with rerolling ones to hit and most likely wounds they should still poss a threat in combat. Gargs will cover the terv and hopefully do something. Ymgarls should pop up and eat things. Rippers take overwatch/assault through terrain/basic tarpit. Hive guard stick near terv and shoot things, cover from pooped gants. Sooo yeah, ideas, complaints, questions?

My advice is to find points for a Prime and make the Tervigon Scoring...

Possibilities include dropping Hormagaunts - Cost-wise they've got nothing on buffed Termagants, and you're already good on forward assault units...

The Toxin Sacs on the Warriors is a bit of a waste - since they're propably gonna be your backfield synapse/scoring.

Ripper Swarms are ridiculous! (sorry, but that's as good as it gets, and it's not a lot...)

Drop the Termagant unit to 10 or add up to 30 - a mid-size unit is "bleh" and you'll spawn some of those anyways...

This looks like the starter army plus a tervigon, HG, and some gargoyles, so I'm guessing you don't have many extra models to work with.

Assuming that's the case, this looks about as effective as you could make it. If you can find the parts for a Tyranid Prime, I would second princelarming's suggestion of moving the tervigon to a troops slot. Attaching the Prime to the unit of Warriors would be a very good way to improve their shooting, survivability, and threat level in melee.

As for what to cut... well, I'm loathe to cut down your already scanty forces, but the termagant unit could drop to 10, and the rippers could go. You're going to want extra termagants for spawning anyhow.
