Meiotic Spore AA

IA 4 Provides rules that allow Meiotic Spores to be deployed at ground or high level. At high level they move like a normal Spore Mine unless an enemy aircraft enters/is on the board. After an enemy aircraft's attack run, you move the MS 3d6 towards any point in the craft's path. If it hits it inflicts a 5+2d6 hit and scatters spore mines upon it's detonation. Not bad for 35 points.

They are FA and come in broods of 1-3. On the ground they explode at str 5 AP 3 large blast and is replaced upon detonation with D6-2 Spore Mines. They always deep strike, have T5 W1 5+sv. Neither they or the Spore Mines they generate are scoring units and never count for Kps/VPs. Also, when they move it is D6 but the player chooses it's direction unlike regular Spore Mines.

Ok sounds cool but i have to admit i don't really follow what the Meiotic Spore is and what is IA =S

It is from Imperial Armour, IA. The Meiotic Spore is basically a bigger Spore Mine that can intercept flyers and spawns regular Spore Mines when it detonates,

Wait, we DO have AA?! Sweet! Agh, but I couldn't just buy the models, I'd have to buy the book, too. Come on, GW, get with the program. Make the rules available online!

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, those Rules are superseded by the ones in IA: Apoc that don't have the AA capability.

Not sure how they work even then, as those still reference the Rules for Bio-Acid Spore Mines.

Yup. Meiotic spores worked as AA in IA:4 the anphelion project.

Bio-acid spore mines are not mentioned in IA: Apoc 2nd Edition... Well at least as far as I remember. ^^
