Hi there,
I took a break from warhammer 40k for about two years to play warhammer fantasy. Recently I found all of my old 'nids and decided that I would like to restart playing 40k again. After my last visit to my local Games Workshop I found out that there was a new edition of the rules, I have only had a brief chance to skim-read over the new rule book and I have a few questions that hopefully you can help me out with.
1) I noticed that in the new rule book fleet does not allow you to run and charge in the same turn (which in my opinion sucks) so my question is, is there any way that we can both charge and run in the same turn?
2) My second question is I noticed that there are now rules for flying monstrous creatures, and there is a way that said creature can move up to 24" so my question is, if my flyrant is swooping, can it charge something that turn? And if not, how would I go about trying to charge someone, could I change to the other flight mode (can't remember what it's called) or do I have to move the usual 6" and then charge?
3) My final and most urgent question is about the newly added psychic powers. I find this whole system very confusing and would just like some clarity. So firstly, what mastery level are each of our psychers, for example I thought that a zoanthrope would be mastery level 2 because it knows 2 different psychic powers, but upon reading a post in one of the forums, I found out that it was only mastery level 1. And the second part of my question is, I believe that in the rule book it says that psychers can choose what 'lore' of psychic powers to take, if there codex doesn't include any (I have probably horribly misread/misinterpreted this part) but I was wondering can our psychers take powers from any lore?
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading (sorry for the long post)
