Well iv not really posted but I do browse for added tactics so thanks for all the little tips posted up so far.
So iv played 2 6th ed games so far and got hammered in both, (shooty orks, and guard) partly due to my list selection, and remembering important new rules etc.
Iv found having extra psykers is good, genestealers are pretty much a waste of points, and flyers are a big problem at the moment for nids as having a 12/12/10 vulture gunship flying around that I cant do anything about hammers termies off the objectives.
So iv tried to refine my list. I used to run swarm, with horms, terms and stealers playing the part of swarm. Horms.. Well IMO aren't really worth it at the moment either, just an extra point that gets shot up, so may as well just take terms?
Stealers - outflank is a load of sweaty balls now, trying to get them into terrain may be good, but as soon as they come out, they really get punished for it.
So what to run, my competetors are crons (ouch) orks and guard..
My list goes a little something like this
Hive tyrant 170
Twin linked blw, lash whip and bs, regen 2 psychic powers.
4 nid warriors, barbed strangler
Termagants x 10
Tervigon -all psychic powers, regen.
Termagants x10
Tervigon all psychic powers, regen
Doom of mal, spore pod 1 psy power.
Trygon prime, regen
Carnifex, 4 twin linked devourers blw, regen
Psy powers hive tyrant-biomancy
Tervs- telepathy
Doom- nid powers
I'm out and about, but think that's all of it.
My idea is use the nid warriors as a screen for the tyrant to get up here, try to get the termies forward and maybe get tervs to smash things up. Fex as a gun platform maybe against flyers, or light tanks/ infantry.
If iv done anything wrong then feel free to point out. Or what can be improved upon. I have about 6k of other models to choose from so changing wont be a prob.
