Mycetic Spores - scoring now?

Under the rules for dedicated transports, it states they are outside the FOC. It then states that when their FOC section is relevant/required, they are the same as the unit they were purchased for.

Obviously vehicles don't score so they probably thought that was that.

However our dedicated transports are MCs, so can now be troops MCs when delivering devilgants and scoring heavies in big guns never tire.

I am reading this from thier section in the back of the codex under the troop section, pg. 90. "Mycetic Spores are purchased as an upgrade to another brood, but they are always treated as a seperate, NON-SCORING unit."

I believe though that they are in fact denial units, which rhino's and such are not. So Tyranids still come out ahead.

Heh, same here. Prolly wish I didn't tho, since Transport Spore specifically states that units must disembark within 2" of the Spore, not 6" like in every other Transport / SM Drop Pod. Cool huh?

If you are a non scoring unit, I thought you can't be a denial unit in 6th then. Please correct me if I am wrong.

All the things that DQ a unit from being a scoring unit also DQs a denial unit, but a unit (say death company) that in its dex lists it as a non-scoring unit can still be a denial unit.

There are plenty of things that are non-Scoring, but are Denial.

The only things that aren't Denial Units are Vehicles, Embarked Units, Swarms, Units Falling Back, and those with a Rule saying they aren't Denial Units.

Other Units from anywhere on the FOC are Denial Units, even if they aren't Scoring.

You can get VP from the spore being in the opponents deployment. Dont forget secondary objectives, they can win or lose the game

does winged sky slascher rippers count as scoring in the mission, who alows fast to score.?

While it would count under the fast, it would be denied under the Swarms can never be scoring units.
