Tyranid Project

Hello fellow bugs! I am like you a tyranid player. i stopped playing 40k about half a year ago but decided to start again. When i quit playing 40k i had about 1200p and used a cardboard trygon because i intended on buying one and wanted to try it out xD so that took me up to 1500 points with all gaunts fully upgraded and such. so this last week i came across a great deal of nids for a minimal prize. around 2400 points un-upgraded for 1500SEK* ($213) in the mess there was 7 MC's, so i bought it!! here are some pictures of the hive fleet!

Painted Tyrant. i have now got 4 tyrants! two standard, 1 flyrant and one is going to be a swarm lord.
the two standard tyrants. the one on the left is used mostly against orks. (i am not responsible for the paint job on that one)
Trygon prime and mawloc. i got some painting to do!

Fexes! i am converting one into tervigon. will be posting progress on that one. might make a harpy too, we'll see!

That's about all i got pictures on, the swarmlord and flyrant is not complete yet, and i do realize that you can buy swarmlords and tervigons now, but i don't need 3 fexes and all you need for the swarmlord is the bonesabres... tell me what you think and what the fleet should be named! i will make a ton of mycetic spores too using epoxy and stuff. bye!

Hey man, looks like you got yourself a good deal! As for the painting, I believe you can buy several kinds of products who serve to strip off previous layers of paint.

Call the Hive Fleet Enthropy. Because things are pretty random-looking.

will probably buy the tervigon instead of making one, just love the look of it! is it worth having harpys?

in the new rules, yes. harpies are much better and make up for their points cost. i suggerst getting yourself a big bucket of simple green and just dumping all the models you want stripped into it for a couple days.

my dad has worked as designer, hockey-mask painter, truck/motorcycle painter (i will force him to paint my mawloc ) and stuff. bet he has some good paint-removal stuff in the basement. the brood lord was covered in red, thick paint. i could literally sink a knife into it.

that broodlord picture hurts my eyes. Who in the world could do such a pathetic attempt at something called painting. No, i take that back, its not painting. IT's ruining!

well, the seller was really nice, but i guess he simply isn't a painter. was going to have a painting day but things got in the way ^^. i'll try to post more pictures soon.
