Lash whip mistake in the FAQ

Is there a mistake in the new FAQ?

For lash whips it says that the lash whips reduction is applied BEFORE any modifications. So far so good.

Enter Canoptec Wraiths. Their FAQ states for the whip coils (which are basically just the same): Fixed value modifications always apply last so it's applied after anything else. Except Banshee mask which is also fixed value, so on this one and comparable ones you roll off, which applies last...

Follow your own FAQ. I am not sure if you are trying to apply this to Tyranids. It is written in the Tyranid codex that for us, Tyranids, lash whips are used as you said. If a Bansheess Mask is used, then, it's basically a roll off to see wich one gets used then, so it's a 50/50 for Tyranid LW to work, unlike in 5th where they could never been used when a BM was used.

Not sure what FAQ you are reading. The Tyrnid FAQ says as a set value modifier they are applied after all other modifiers. Same FAQ as Necrons, even the point about Banshee masks.

Yup french faq is like english, lash whips applies last

Except with other set modifiers (like the Banshee Mask) where you roll off to see which one applies.

It is a change from the previous FAQ, so they may have just missed that. Or is could be another case of the crack team of translators GW uses.
