How many extra gants per Tervigon

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to see how many extra Termagant models people own per Tervigon they field. I currently have 40 extra gants for my 2 Tervigon list, and I am thinking this could be enough considering I can draw from my board casualties as well. 2 spawns will average 42 gants for 2 Tervigons, but I am not sure how many casualties will cover for overages or how often I will get massive rolls and not have enough models. I have never fielded Tervigons, so I am just curious what other people do. By the way, I understand that I can run proxy stands... But I don't want to do that

18-22 extras per Tärvigon will cover you for over half your Games, assuming some of them are getting killed off and re-used.

There's a thread here that covers more of the details, and gives you some information on how you might want to make that call, depending on how many Tärvs you're running.

I bring 48 per tervy... I always roll lucky.

IIRC, half the time, the Terv will spawn 17 or fewer gaunts. The average is 23ish, because sometimes you will get into the 40-60 range... Since you are running two, you will be closer to the average than just running one. 40 will usually be okay... play it and see how it goes.

Just start with what you have, you'll probably end up getting more anyway as your fleet goes. Especially if you buy ebay job lots like i do, they soon stack up.

For me, I don't have much extra. Already tired tyring to put together what I have. (wich is coming very slowly). I have about 20 extra total Gaunts, but would like to have more.

Once 6th comes out, and if it gets me excited, I will buy 2 or 3 Tervigons, another battleforce box set for the gaunts to go with them.

I have 47 fully painted 3rd ed Termagants, and I tend to start with at least 20 on the board.

I have never ran out.

(although one game I spawned 49 Gants over the course of 6 turns).

I have 60 Gants and 2/3 Tervs - so I would go with about 20 per Terv.

Saying that, out of the last dozen games, my Terv has pooped out on the first spawning 11 times...so 10 would probably do me. I have had one game where I got lucky and spawned 10+ each turn without rolling doubles.

10 is the "normal" amount of spawned gants, if you can spawn the 2 first turn, there will definitely be some dead gants in turn 3. So about 20 gants per tervigon (:

I have 32 Termagants in total, use one Troops Tervigon, so that means I have 22 extra. It does fine more often than not with recycling, especially as most the time I roll a double on my first turn, and if not then, my second turn.

I generally use 2 lots of 14 devourer gaunts in pods, so then take 2 tervigon as troops. I have 90 gaunts and have used around 70 in a few battles recently. Generally what happens in my games is the tervs get left to spawn, getting around the average roll most turns. The enemy wipes all my synapse out, then kills the tervs, so I just have lots of pretty useless gaunts kicking about.

I always start with a high roll and end on a high roll, seems to be the way it works for me. Though my most recent game only saw me get 4 and they were the best 4 little dudes Ive ever had, much better/useful than the 50+s ive had.

I bring 18 extra per tervigan, because I will spawn 1 time and not have time to spawn again.

Technically i bring a lot more because I have well over 200 gants, but still. I only need the 18 often. Just a tactic I learned worked better than mindlessly spawning every turn just to get my gant count up.
