Arachnae began to weave his web, warping behind him, in front of him, around him. The orks ability was impressive but his speed transcended the material realm itself, his warping above all. In what had barely felt like 10 seconds the ork was covered in small cuts. A human would be dead by now, orks were more complicated in their coordination systems.

Weedy laughed. "Zat all you got?" He taunted, before raising his pistol and firing. If Arachnae was expecting a poor shot; he was surprised, as the visor hWeedy wore activated, and the bullets angle was perfected by the motion targeters. Though Arachnaes reflexes no doubt saved him some serious injuries, tge rusty bullet still tore a chink pf Arachnaes right arm off, leaving bwhind rust- which burned like acid.

Kharnak tore through the jungle, trying to reach where he heard gunfire and apparently, by the gruff, crude language, an ork. "good", said Kharnak "more blood to spill." However, as he trudged through the knee deep sludge, Kharnak was hoping to meet a certain ork in particular. Actually, to be precise, a Ork Kommando and his grot with one of the Inquisitions blasted infernus pistols.....

More sounds of fighting echoed through the swamp. It was hard to make out from which direction it came. He had decided to get his unit back to the fortress, to warn the other platooncommanders, when he heard a familiar sound; the distinct 'zap' of an inquisitorial infernus pistol.
He took the wounded sergeant aside, " Do you hear that, Apone? It must be the Grey Knights. I should warn them about that Chaos Marine we encountered" The sergeant nodded weakly. "Yes, sir." He obviously didn't feel like turning back towards the fighting. DeSoya pointed towards the four guardsmen, who were making their way through the trees. "You take Milo and Gregori and make your way back. I'll take Valori and Maxim."
De Soya listened again to where he thought the fighting sounds were coming from and switched on his powersword. "Okay, men" he told the two guardsmen, "let's go." They started to make their way to what he thought would be the inquisitor and the grey knights.

Arachnae winced in pain, acid burned through his arm. "Your good ill grant you that," He warped, striking but his wounded arm was to slow. The pair were in stalemate, blade to blade. He drew back, warping up a tree. "My true target is nearby, marines really aren't the quietest kind." He warped. He was in a new area of swamp, narrowly avoiding the acidic liquid. The khornate marine, angrily tore up the jungle in front of him. "So you're the chaos scum they sent me to cleanse." He crouched blades drawn. "Prepare to be cleansed."

DeSoya didn't find the Inquisitor or the Chaos Marine. But this swamp did turn out to be full of surprises. He had followed the sounds of fighting to a very unusual scene. One big and one small ork were fighting an Eldar. It looked badly for the lithe warrior, when all of a sudden he vanished, leaving the orks behind. Their backs turned to DeSoya and his men.
He didn't have to think long. One of their missions on this planet was to keep the number of orks on this planet as low as possible. Valori and Maxim jumped from the bushes, firing their lasguns at the smaller Ork, while DeSoya stepped towards the big one. His powersword humming. He charged the green brute, and his first blow immediatly landed a hit. But Orks are tough, DeSoya knew, so he stepped back into a defensive stance. "Come on, Ork", he shouted, "time to die!"

Drakken watched all of this in surprise. Very quickly, almost instantly, the eldar he'd been about to shoot was attacked by an orc. Then, as if the universe was simply trying to dramatise the situation for his own 'benefit', the eldar disappeared and was replaced with a small, devastated-looking squad of imperial guardsman, sneaking up behind the two orks. Through some remnant of long-lost senses, he smelt the blood and fury of one of Khorne's warriors on the guardsmen, too.
Silently, he ordered the Rubric marines to continue hunting the elusive Eldar--a warp spider, it must have been--and then unslung his chainsword, his changing whims favouring toe-to-toe combat at this time. At the squeeze of the handle it roared into life, and he shouted dustily, "All is dust!" before charging at them with great, scything blows.

DeSoya was side-stepping around the big Ork, looking for an opening to strike a blow, when he saw a huge figure stepping out of the trees behind him. His heart jumped. Another Chaos Marine?!
One of the Guardsmen, Maxim, turned to flee, only to be cut down by the Marine's chainsword. Valori was faster and the blows aimed at him missed as he retreated a few yards.
DeSoya quickly assessed the situation and made a daring decision. He yelled to the big Ork, "Hey greenskin, I know you like a good fight, but we cannot stand up to these things! Help me defeat them and we'll continue our fight later."
He dared to hope that the Orks would rather fight two fights, then see one of their preys fall to this chaos warrior. DeSoya turned and faced the enormous Marine, his powersword held ready.

Drakken stood motionless and watched the guardsman. He would not bother with theatrics; trying to parry a power weapon with his chainsword would only leave him with two halves of a chainsword. Instead, he threw honour to the wolves and, one-handed, unslung his bolter, squeezing the trigger and blasting away at the guardsmen, heedless of the ork now turning towards him.

Kharnak knew that despite his strength, he stood little chance against the fast moving Eldar. He had made this mistake once, and was nearly killed for it. So instead, he pulled a frag grenade from his belt, and threw it towards the Eldar. this made the warrior warp jump, and Kharnak took this opportunity to run. However, while looking back to ensure he would not ge attacked from behind when he was running caused him to run smack into a Rubric Marine, knocking them both to the ground. While getting up, Kharnak saw the Eldar warrior crouched in the treetops above....

ooc- The small Ork rides the big orks sshoulder. They stay in one place.
ic- Weedy felt the powersword sink into him. "Ter good twiggy!" He said, ignoring the dull pain, And lunged at him. The gitfinda on his eyes picked yup the movement before it happened, and the lunge turned into a forward roll which caught the backstepping DeSoya in the chest, Sending him sprawling. He rolled to his knees and scored a headshot on one of the guardsman. The otherrs, peppering him with lasfire, found themselves with burning bpnes, before with a loyd crack and an eerie green flash, 4 confused squigs in mishappen bent and broken bits of guard arrmour were left in the swamp. Weeder cackled madly. Weedy notoced a movement on his left, and rolled bacwards, weedsr hanging on for dear life, as a chaos marine charged the combatants, then another, More aggressive one. Chuckling as the guardsman called for aide, He bellowed "WAAAAAAGH!!!" before rusing in, green sparks coming from weedys eyes as weeders ower coursed through him. Then he collided with the khornate marine with the force of a freight train, knocking him down and rolling ocer him, geeting to his knees quickly to avoid being sliced up. Turning to face the warrior, he readied his pistol, as did Weeder.

The Ork smacked into Kharnak with enough force to send him rolling. Stumbling to his feet, Kharnak muttered a curse about the "orks and their stupidity". As he stood up, Kharnak recognized the ork and his little grot friend that were aiming at him. "Ah, you're back" said Kharnak as he revved his chainaxe. "You just don't learn, do you, you stupid greenskin" he said, "you're going to lose again." And with that, he charged the Ork, firing his plasma pistol as he ran.

By some sort of miracle, DeSoya had survived the hail of bolter rounds fired at him by the gold-blue Chaos Marine. He looked around to see where his comrades were, but could not find them. At that moment, the Khorne Marine appeared again, only to be slammed to the ground by the charging Ork.
DeSoya wanted to join the fight, to avenge the men who had been killed, but he was not insane. The Ork and the two Marines were all a lot bigger than him, so he retreated about fifty yards, keeping a close eye on the combatants.
A plan was forming in his head. Those marines were here for a reason. It had to do something with the artifact, the Inquisitor had talked about. Maybe he could follow whoever got out of the fight as a winner and steal the artifact. THAT would buy him a ticket off of this nasty planet.
He plucked a cigar from his pockets and tried to light it. It wouldn't in this filthy marsh, so he threw it away, angry. Then his eyes caught a motion to the left of him.

The Rubric marine staggered backwards, but retained its footing--no mean feat, after being about headbutted by a chaos space marine of Khorne--and unslung its weapon. Disconnected from Drakken, it reverted to battlelust and began to act instinctively, blasting at Kharnak with its bolter, taking another step forward.
Meanwhile, Drakken watched the tactical retreat of the lone guardsman. It made sense. His troops were mostly, if not all, dead, and his foes were now locked in combat with each other. He turned his head slowly, watching the ork and the Khorne marine facing each other, both snarling with matching intensity. Quickly, he raised his bolter in front of him and checked the magazine--finding it was empty, he discarded it and inserted another--paying close attention to the eldar shape crouched in the trees as he did so. For a moment, he considered firing a shot or two at the ork, but a marine of Khorne would be able to handle himself adequately against an ork or two.
So instead, he returned to his first action--before the fighting had broken out--and took careful aim at the Warp Spider.
"All is dust." he said quietly, then pulled the trigger.

Kharnak jumped at the Ork just as the ork began to rush him. Their blades hit, and began a frenzy of fighting, which only ended when Kharnak was on the receiving end of a powerful kick that pushed him away. and stunned him for a second. This delay in the fighting was seen as a good chance for Kharnak to withdraw, suppressing the rising bloodlust that was growing within him. After all, there would be more chances to fight once the relic was under Khorne's control.
