Hi, I registerd here the other day and just though I'd introduce myself. I've been interested in 40k for about 12 years now. Initially I bought about 600pts of Eldar, started painting them then got side tracked with Uni, Wife and then children. About two years back my son, now 9, found my stuff and so I got interested again.
I bought the BFM starter box and we have been trying to play ever since. My son loves my Eldar, and won't play anything else, so I've been putting together raggtag armies ever since. So far we have added to the Eldar force so it musters 1000pts, additionally we have a Black Templar army of simmilar size, about 700pts of Orks and 1000pts of 'nids. I love the 'nids so this is what I play most of the time. Additionally I've built a City fight table that measures 6'x10' and includes 8 buildings and 7 road pieces on 4' square boards, that can be arranged in different layouts.
Anyway as I've been fairly busy making stuff we haven't played that manny games and frequently struggle to make sence of the rules. However everyone here seems extreemly helpfull and I've already clarified some of my mistakes.
Thanks - I'll try and post some pictures of our table some time if anyone is interested. I should add that all of our games have resulted in the eldar erradicating another collony of 'nids from the Universe. But I hope that this will change soon.
