(OOC: FYI the chapter i'm using is not made by me only the character and his events. So their tactics and descriptions were made by other people who rolled up the rites of battle to make this chapter.)
Lazarus pulled down the restrain harness and clicked it into place. The harness would keep him in place should anything happen. "Brother Val be ready for combat the moment we land. No telling what is out there." The triangular doors slid closed and a mechanical voice of one of the tech-priests squawked over the vox-com "Drop commencing in five seconds." Lysander loved this moment. He was not an assault marine. The Ice serpents had none. But what they did have were special drop pods to carry everything from rhino chassis tanks to land raiders to the rarest and monstrous baneblades. The rush of dropping was something lot lost on the Ice serpents who used it to pump themselves up. When the count hit one Lysander smashed his fists together and grinned inside his helmet. "Bring it on."
The docking clamps released the pod an for a split second anything loose floated in zero gravity. Then the propulsion booster ignited and it was sent upward into the ceiling as the pod rocketed toward the planet's surface. The trip only lasted a few minutes but Lysander relished every second of it as the pod brought him closer to war. Then the retro-boosters ignited and the pod smashed into the ground with a loud crash.
"Brother Val lets go!" Lazarus picked up his standard bolter and pointed it straight outside as the doors fell. "Go go go!" he said as he stormed outside into the clearing. He stopped as the clearing was clear and silent except for the beeping coming from the wreck. "Tch nothing. All clear inquisitors. No hostiles." he said as he walked backwards into the pod.
