Playstation Move: Yes or No?

so, there is a good chance of me getting a playstaion soon and i was wondering if the move is any good? my main question is: is it worth the extra money for this or is it not worth it?

Well for the same price you could get a second hand Wii, which if your looking for a motion control thing then thats the way to go.

Move is tacky and rather useless, the same thing can be said about the kinect.

The Move is really not that great. Not many games have made good use of it. The Wii has a much better selection. I have move, used it for about an hour, REAAALLY not worth it.

When it comes to Kinect, the best use so far has been done by talented individuals who have hacked it.

My take is this. The Wii is gimmicky and gets old fast, but there is a good selection of games for it, especially with the virtual console.

Kinect is even more gimmicky but makes use of some very interesting technology. There is some promise for games that use it in combination with a controller, but the whole use your body as the controller concept I find rather suspect. Also, hardly anything of note uses it to good effect.

PS Move is the bottom of the barrel. It is an obvious cash in on the popularity of the Wii and yet somehow manages to be even more gimmicky and less fun despite having the advantage of a few years of tech to improve on the concept. Has even fewer worthwhile uses than the Kinect and at least at this point I see no reason to even consider getting it. If the idea interests you, keep an eye out for games that might be worth playing on it and don't buy it until there is something you actually want to use it with. Chances are good it will decrease in price before a worthwhile title comes along for it.

I'm really interested in using the move sharp shooter attachment. it's the attachment that lets you use the move to play first person shooter games like SOCOM 4, and resistance 3. other than that the move hasn't been developed enough for the price. if it gets more support who knows.

the Wii will be replaced next year so I'd wait on getting that, as far as the kinect it has the same problems as the move but has worse accuracy so why bother.

Only get it if you really want it or have a game you think would be fun with it.

otherwise save the cash and spend it on something better.
