Rumor: Warmahordes price change

A little something I picked up when talking to the owner of my flgs:

Since there has been some talk about warmahordes going around here for a time I thought this bit of info might be interesting.

Apperantly, Arcane Tinmen, the company in charge of warmahordes distribution has announced a small price change due to the changing market, supply of raw materials and new molding tecnology.
For the customers this translates into a 10% price decrease across the range.

Thoughts and comments?

NUUUUU

That's not a terrible increase though, so I'm not massively fussed. The big guys tend to cost £30-£40, so that's not a big increase, and the many solos you can have will barely feel it.

As long as it doesn't mysteriously ramp up every summer I'm happy.

Its a decrease.

I think they are trying to say to all of us who play warhammer:

It is really not that bad compared to GW's price increase, I mean, I don't play then game but am thinking of getting some Cryx because someone else at the LGS plays the game.

(Actually I thought it was a Price increase to begin with too... It must be because Wargaming and Price decrease is a really rare thing. But we are actually dealing with a Price decrease here.)

yes it is wonderful news. Maybe they will attract so many players, that GW will have to make a price decrease themselves... (That's just not going to happen)

Question: GW = Activition, PP = EA? Seems to be going that route of COD and Battlefield.

I don't think I understand what you mean. I have always considered EA for something bad.

EA was bad and Activision was good.

Now since Activision is under Kotick its killed the COD series and only wants money, they started the new $60 a pc game idea. EA is better, especially with the Battlefield franchise. So EA is now good and Activision evil and greedy.

I bet the prices will sneak back up over time, slowly; but for now PP has certainly dealt a heavy blow to GW when they are low in reputation with their fans. It's a bit of a dirty trick, but PP are making a bold move to steal the more advanced and long term GW fans - or at least if not steal them, but convert them to PP fans.

Privateer Press is looking good at the moment. Looking real good! I think this might be just the kind of competition GW needs at the moment. Regular price hikes work with a monopoly on the market but PP is really running them for their money now.

I have no doubt that PP will eventually raise their prices even higher than what they originally were but right now I'm just going to take the time to celebrate and start saving for some Protectarate of Menoth models.
