So, I am trying out minecraft using the out of date version that the minecraft website has on its homepage...

the thing is, every time i move, the game freezes and I have to close the window to move again.

Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

I do. It runs runescape just fine (I logged on yesterday to talk to my friend out of country). I been looking it up... and the answer is something about a client...?

It tells you to download the minecraft client. I have no idea which one though, but Minecraft was still in Alpha at the time those posts were made.

Did you read instructions / download it?

ERROR:Failed to run Minecraft client
JAVA6="C:\Program Files\Java\Jre6\bin\java.exe"

For instance this. Minecraft.jar is the minecraft client that you can download from minecraft.net which seems to be needed to play classic?
I have no idea, I can enjoy real Minecraft so.

You could try finding a cracked version of Minecraft, since Classic is vastly different from Beta. But I can assure you, it's worth buying.

It is not like it is massively expensive anyways. You'd only be down 13 quid if it turns out you don't like it, whereas with most other games it is over two times that. Pre-Release accounts will also increase in value as Minecraft gets closer the full release.

I got it to work. Just had to use a different browser.
