Do Creationists play Tyranids?

Science is not a religion. +1 People that treat Science like a religion are fools. Science is a tool made of theories. The moment it is treated as an absolute is the moment you stop wanting to change what it has at the moment. And a tool you stop maintaining is a useless, rusty tool. For Science to work, it must always be flawed so that we can build and improve upon it. And something that is flawed cannot be a god, or anything like the sort. It is a shame that with all this 'New Age'/Dawkinistic "Atheism" being slung around these days amongst the youth, the line between Science and Religion is becoming too blurred. I've seen these people throwing around Science as some kind of deity and ranting on about converting unbelievers like some zealot of old (or a backwards country, like America ). People need to be educated on the various aspects of Theism, Atheism, Agnosticism and their relationship with Science far more then they are these days. Good to see that someone gets annoyed at the same things that make me want to punch people in the face. Think it's because most Athiests tend to think that they have to put their faith in science (LolIrony?) and because of this take any hypothesis that science comes up with as absolute definitive truth - when it isn't, it's a way of explaining what could have happened. Ah, Agnosticism, missed that. I think that nowadays, and that's something for me to be saying - I'm only 18, people are far too ignorant and intolerant. Of everything. People tend to think they know more than they do, which makes them ignorant, and are then so close minded that they refuse to accept anyone else's interpretation or theories on various matters as potential possibilities - which is just sad. Good to see we have some open minded individuals that still retain their sense of logic at The Hive. Loved that:

However, I am alarmed at the direction this thread is going. Can we please abort before this becomes a battle ground of Atheism vs Religion as it more than likely will?

It's funny, I haven't really met a lot of Athiests like this. I'm sure they're out there though. I just don't want people thinking that just because I don't believe in God, I therefore must put blind faith in something else. That's just not how it works for me. And I think we're in agreement about that, right, Tyrantor? Anyway, this has been an interesting discussion, but I'm with Genevaman. I think we've made it far enough without starting a flame war, so I say let's close up shop while we still can and start talking about tyranids again.

I would like to thank everyone who has posted on this thread. I am delighted that this turned into a sensible and interesting conversation. I will admit that after seeing what a success this was on this form, I made the mistake of posting it on another more general 40k forum I have used from time to time. Within 3 posts it had turned into a flame war and I felt the need to ask the mods to remove the thread.
I think its worth pointing out that I'm not really much of a nid player. I own the codex and have a unit of gaunts and have always ment to collect a hoard army, But I use this forum because of the relaxed atmosphere and the ability to discuss subjects without it getting out of hand.

Well I've never seen the reason to attack someone's view on something if they don't attack yours. It's called your opinion for a reason, it's yours. The amount of people that don't get that concept is insane.
Good thing we've got a friendly atmosphere though. Live and let live, aye?
