ic:"Tunrael... lets just hurry this up." ken sniffed the air and tasted some of the blood. "minty." he said smiling as he turned his head to the space port.."the signals changed and what i feel dos not feel entirely human" he says and starts to walk that way.

OOC: I was being sensible, leaving room for new players, and also the fact that out of all of us only one is a marine and he's an imperial fist.

IC: after scouting the area, neither pairing found anything. Ken tasted some of the blood and using the kroot part of his genetics found a way to trace him very slightly over a short distance. "the signals changed and what I feel does not feel entirely human" said ken, with an air of uncertainty. They headed toward the overused grimy silver obelisk that was the spaceport.
"It could be trying to leave the planet" Tunrael suggested "my netflies have returned and indicate that the cloaking device was xenos. and my DNA tests indicate that the blood was Tau.
"What are you waiting for then?!" shouted Ken, already half way to the menacing edifice of the spaceport. Inside, The IM's ship was waiting in one of the many hundreds of docks. ken was eager to take off but the sniper had not necessarily taken off yet. They went to the main office. As it turned out, only two tau ships had taken off in the last hour; one heading for the nearest star system - valuran, the other had it's co-ordinates locked to halman's golden orb, a star near the halo stars. The sept world tun guessed the sniper was from was near there. That seemed like the best choice.

Kali has remained fairly silent this entire time but she has grown sick of the chase. In the crowded space port her nerves are growing and she closes her eyes breathing heavily. Her focus becomes sharp and suddenly the group watches her disappear from sight. Tau?" She is running through the crowd as fast as possible then her keen eyes see blood splotches on the ground. She begins to follow them towards a ship getting ready to launch. She runs through one of the ship walls avoiding checkpoints and looking for a good place to phase in. Then it hits her she is in her underwear. She looks about waiting and becoming more tired by the second. Her eyes are beginning to close and she is having a hard time holding her ghostly form. She needs to call her crew to the area or signal them somehow to the ship but she'd have to reveal herself for that. As her time runs thin she relizes the ship will launch soon and if she isn't fast she'll be stuck without aid. Then a plan hits her. She moves to the checkpoint and phases in grabbing the nearest subject and pressing her claw to the persons throat. "THIS SHIP ISN'T MOVING!" she yells and then she throws a kick at the nearest person. The place explodes in chaos and for the last few seconds her eyes are open she sees a figure approaching her before she passes out.

Ravenous pushed his way into the crowd. his immense size swatting people aside. only a few reached out to touch him. he couldn't tell if they did but he didn't care. Many of these people haven't seen an armed space marine in their lifetimes, to many of them it was a signal to rally to a cause. His golden armor moved people in front of him until he reached Kali's unconscious body. Lightly he picked her up in both hands and lifted her off her feet and to his level. he stared confused at he for a moment then shook his helmeted head throwing her on his shoulder with his right arm he clicked off his cape on his own back and threw it over Kali to make it less awkward. He walked the sleeping sniper into the Iron Mongers ship, taking note of a shadowy figure in the corner that used to be feet from Kali. When inside the ship Ravenous lays his heavy bolter down first, releases the notches on his backpack and then lays down Kali down on a table. still covered by his cape he fills a pitcher of hot water and readies to throw it on the knocked out Kali. "wake up" Ravenous spoke as he shifted back to splash it on her...

The water hits her full on in the face and she gags for a moment totally bewildered and she rools straight off the table hitting the ground with a thump as her eyes open," Ahh!" she says surprised. Then she turns her head looking at Ravenous and her eyes meet his. The oddity is that he reyes are no longer orange and blue but instead a creamy dark brown. She struggles to her feet still a bit weak from her power use," Thank you for that, I would hate to look like a fool in front of everyone." Her voice sounds faded and the combination of being drenched and dirty makes her look like a wilted flower. he looks at some of the steel and notices her eyes. She touches the rim of her eye stunned at their color. She turns and grabs Ravenous's arm," Are my eyes brown?"She says in a soft tone. The she lets go realizing how she was clenching his arm," Are they really brown?"

ken stopped in his tracks and looked around. "its changing again .... i have a feeling dark eldar are after us." he says getting into his ship and strapped his gear down and went to the piloting area. "ok now all who still believe in there god please get off my craft."he waited. "no ok lets go." he said taking off the ship was nice assault craft that held 2 types of guns rockets and machine guns it also had a com relay and some cots."no if all will please take a seat were leaving this planet." he shut the cockpit door and opened a vox link. "ya this is ken..... orks.... DA war gods ya we can kill them.... and how did they get a bane blade... i see well if the pays high.... then well take the job." he closed the call and opened the door to the others. "forget the assassin we got a job. now some orks who call them self's DA WAR GODZ have been hitting a planet hard good news they have there own custom bane blade. bad news theirs only 4 squads of 20 orks and 1 squad of 5 nobs. so there's really no fun

Ravenous stares confused into Kali's eyes, she was right, from the creepy combination of colors now they only were brown. "yeahup. They are brown all right. As brown as the corpses burned under a flamestorm cannon." Ravenous said calmly. "now go get dressed. i need to dry my cape off. and next time the water will be freezing." Ravenous stood up from kneeling when Ken walked in and gave the briefing. "The less orks in a warband the higher chance they could be nothing but elite killers. they have a baneblade, sounds elite to me." Ravenous said, unable to see his emotion behind his helmet.

Kali nods at him something close to a smile touches her lips," They are really brown aren't they". She drops his cape in a heap on the ground and walks off in her quiet way for the showers. It takes a bit of digging about to find a new set of armor like her own but she manages and after she cleans up and puts her hair up she comes marching into the room and sits down.

Since they had taken off, trying to find the sniper who had just a couple of hours before tried to kill them, they had left the atmosphere and were into space. They got a long range message about some orks or something. Tun didn't really listen. The ship was warp capable and would be making a jump within the next few minutes. The planet they were trying to get to was only a few systems away but they needed to be quick. Apparently These orks were well equipped, having a baneblade, and the Vanus guessed that they would be hardened flash git nobz probably with a big mek turned warboss as a leader.

after they made the lurching, stalling, gut wrenching jump into warp space. Tunrael thought. he thought of many things, the process a spiralling web. He had worked out many things about the sniper but it seemed that for now the group had moved on. He then pondered the nature of the warp, or what he had been allowed to know of it, and promptly stopped when thoughts of the gods of chaos and their myriad daemonic monstrosities flooded into his mind like an unholy wave of darkness. He purged these thoughts with a mental flame. even after leaving the imperium, some doctrines were still part of his psyche. He was no chaos cultist or Imperial zealot after all. He mused on the fact that this ship - an imperial vessel had no need of a navigator. This was because of the addition of an adapted eldar device that was what ken called a "warp-nav" it was complex and if broken would not be able to be fixed by Tun (a tech expert) or a techpriest or anyone. The eldar rogue who had fitted the navigation system was dead now, at the hands of a guardsman commander of the catachan regiment. Tun had since made sure he was framed with crimes of heresy and summarily executed.

After a juddering warp exit, they arrived in the system where they were going to.
"Watch out for Ork craft Kali", said Ken
"on it" came the reply from his right
"Ravenous and Tun, man the guns" ordered ken to the others. They did as he said without comment. "prepare for conflict team" ken added as the ship raced down to orbit of the once imperial world of Brevyan II, re-named by the orks as Da Green rok. It indeed was, it was a jungle deathworld. Tun did not relish the thought of fighting there.

"It's a Vindicare," said a dark figure, emerging from behind a jagged pipeline, "or at least it was..." it picked up something from the floor where their assailant had stood. An icon of Chaos.

Armor: Assassin modified carapace
Special ability: Can set own objectives, rather than being controlled.
Abilities: Eversor Assassin.
Appearance: Eversor, after three years of crashing through walls, being shot at, and disembowelling, without cleanup or much repair.
Bio: Eversor whose drop pod took a glancing hit from avortex torpedo, completely scrambling the control systems, and crashing it into the Iron Mongers' planet. Remained motionless for three days learning how to act on his own initiative and program his own goals, then approached the group with an offer. Named Bloodfire after drowning the insane renegade Tau Lord Kral'ak in a pool of the toxin of the same name (Kral'Ak liked drowning his captives in it).

Kali has always been one of those exceptionally gifted pilots. Her hand eye accuracy is so far above the limits that she naturally can fly well. While ken is their pilot for getting places, she has always been a good combat pilot. She brings the ship around raising the shields and exicuting many dodges from fire by the baneblade.

An icon of Chaos.> we were on a ship by that time, and saying it's a vindicare just wrecks everything I have thought of and set up. why would an eversor be more able to figure it out than a vanus. If you haven't read through everything that has already happened do so now.


IC: The ship swooped and dived over the wrecked city below. They eventually found a place to set down. Kali deftly landed the craft as the others readied themselves for any possible combat. And considering the fact that the things out there were Orks, combat was a certainty. Tun unclipped The clip that strapped him into the seat and picked his personal weapons from the sliding cabinet at the back of the cabin. He holstered the compact bolt pistol, weighing it in his hand before he did so, then grabbed his power blade. Finally his mask, it recognised and sucked onto his face, it's edges blurring with the edges of the rest of his head becoming seamlessly one. like an ebon geist with eyes of red or blue flame, he walked down the ship ramp after ken and Kali, Ravenous came last, shutting the hatch. They had landed in a location they deemed to be hard to find for Orks, i.e. behind something bigger than the object you are trying to hide.

OOC: is bloodfire currently with the team or will we find him on the planet we are on now. the latter would be preferable.
