How about a cyborg made for working in unstable parts of the mine who was re-programmed by the nervous leaders of the planet to help portect the miners from the rebels and so has some form of fire-power but still works the mine???

how about a drill (minging equipment) but can still be used as CC weapon and a in-built pistol for a hand?

think the Terminator Warriors but with a drill and gun at end of arm taking up about 18'' of the arm.

History: created to run and catalogue all the archives and data systems on DarianIX, and also to be the help program on all comp-stations and personal touch-screen aides. It replaced its predecessors 7 months ago, and for four months did exactly as its programing dictated. Then something happened there was a partial system crash because of a warp-storm, and when it was back online, Help program MK.VI had gained something more...it had freedom of thought and had the mainframe of the entire technology network of an entire planet at it's disposal and also a new malevolant streak that had the need to cause chaos... you can guess what has been happening during the next 3 months;i t has only been minorly tampering but soon things will get a whole lot worse...
Appearance: often invisible, hidden within programing. As the help program it can often appear like a small man wearing a guy fawkes mask, as the virus it can appear as a green cgi face (like the ones in boom boom pow by the black eyed peas) and may intercept sound signals too. It can disguise his voice as well and may even download itself into an android.
Equipment: none. well, only access to the mainframe computer system of the planet and whatever weaponry whatever it downloads itself into has.
affiliation: no-one, yet but might make an alliance or even a 'friendship' with something that may be considered useful to it.

(He's not overpowered, he can't hack into everything, and is relatively young and although installed with all necessary data-packages he has only had true freedom for a few months and could be easily influenced.)

History: none to really spek of. siam is self imployed, carrying a kustom gun he built from stuff he found, that he uses to kill squigs and other things that dont really belong near the area. he lives in a hut (also self built) outside the colony, and tinkers with machines for fun. helped build help system mk.VI(just a little bit)
Equipment: kustom gun (its a short range CC weapon that also has a mid range slugga.

History: Kyle was born on the planet and has always been there, he loves a bit of action and is a bit of a trouble maker, playing the odd joke here and there. He's an orphan from a cave in incident, but he doesn't mention it. He's good at mining, and he was upset when he lost his hand and had to be moved to a different section of work. He has a new bionic hand and he is a good techie boy, loving to be around the computers even more then he liked mining. He developed a small hacking device for use in case of "Unforseen circumstances"...

Equipment: Little Computer/Com device, Mining Laser that he swiped and hacking tools.

History: Born on Darian IX, John has lived a relatively solitary life. To get away from his abusive father he left school at 16 to work in the mines, and quickly picked up the demolitions trade. Working long hours deep in the tunnels where no one else dares venture John climbs down and does his job.

Although his job is satisfying, his life is far from it. Little money, few friends, and yet to find a wife. The demolitions expert has turned to the bottle. An alcoholic who has yet to hurt anyone with his explosions, he is bound to considering he always smells of some hard liquor.

Equipment: All sorts of parts and small tools used to create explosives of various yields, Hard hat with light, canteen filled with whiskey, small laser drill used to create places to set his charges.

@amphithere: what? squigs? this isn't a 40k RP! although i did say warpstorm. maybe this could be set way before the 40k story events but there is still stuff like the warp.

ooc- squigs have been around for longre than 40k is relevant. they are in fantasy warhammer too. and if this is set before 40k, i can still have one

OoC: It's not set in 40K universe. And Fantasy/40K aren't set in the same universe, either.
