Hive Fleet Ouroboros [The Beginings!] Pic heavy!

Finally gotten around to naming my Hive fleet. Not much of a fleet yet, but I've done some pretty cool (and subtle) conversion work on some of my models.

In the not so distant future I would love to make a Dactylis and purchase a Hierodule. I've taken quite a few shots of my models.. some of them are very dusty, so some dust may show up in photo's aha, and quite a lot of them are not just painted (hopefully that will change tomorrow!) But I thought I'd atleast get my work on here to show everyone, so you can all watch my army grow with me! yay ! lol

Okay so my army thus far includes:

1x Godfex
2x Dakkafex's
1x Zoanthrope
3x Warriors
1x Biovore (not yet assembled)
4x Ravner (not yet assembled)
8x Gargoyls (not yet assembled)
2x Tyrant Guard (1 yet to be assembled)
16x Genestealers (8 not yet assembled)
1x Malanthrope!

Soon to come, a Flyrant and an Eliete tyrant! woo!

But yes, The afermentioned hive fleet name I chose, I feel represents all tyranids in general, as aposed to just my fleet.
the Ouroboros in Mythology is usually a picture of the creature eating its own tail, to represent eternal return, very similar to the phoenix in which when it has been extinguished, it will return again and will do so forever. Thus is the Iron will of the Hive Mind.

Got pretty much every upgrade. Crushing claws and a Lash whip I made from Greenstuff. Dosnt look too bad!

Hmmm Ouroboros? Are you sure? Perhaps you are getting mixed up - the scheme you have now resemble Behemoth more than anything, but could pass as Moloch as well. Ouroboros is much light with no red or blue...

I like what you have so far! That spider fex really caught my eye, nice conversion!

Planning some fluff with that name? Ouroboros is the self devouring dragon symbolizing infinity . I kicked around the idea myself but plan to use the concept differently. It fits the idea of Tyranids cycling genetic material over and over.

Ah! I apologise for that, I didnt know that Ouroboros was taken, in that case I could choose something different.

I know, I chose Behemoth as my colour scheme, but I would like to pass it off as a splinter fleet with a different name. Because really, thats the reason I've done so many little conversions, I want to make my army as unique as possible, but thus far, I'm still looking for excuses to do HUGE conversions, Ie. Dactylis.

More than anything here I'm building a large scale Apocalypse army, but the good thing is that I can always use parts of the larger force to make a normal FOC army, so I can still participate in regular battles.

But yeah, If Ouroboros is taken, I'll change I guess, if anyone has new ideas for a bad ass hive fleet name, let me know!!
(try to keep within the Nidzilla theme though so big mythological griblys!)

Ouroboros arnt only from Resi 5, though i guess you got it froom their with the epic spider beast. I like it a lot!

But you've got some really neat conversions there, great job with the Spider. He's just missing a third set of limbs to qualify as a true Tyranid.

That fex horn made me so happy, my Friends have been looking for a way to make fexs more pointy and this might just be the answer. The horns just say, I'm a fex, whatcha gonna do about it? nothin? that what i thought!

I also named my hive fleet Ouroboros (in the splinter fleet fluff thread) before i realised that Ouroboros was already taken by people at hivefleetmoloch. my point is just because someone else has that name it dosnt matter if you do or not its not like they have copyright claims on it and their gonna send you to jail for using it.
