Right... in light of recent... yeah... the new rules of the game are as follows.
In "Take a Dare, you must choose a "Dare" for yourself. This is a posting limit/style/etc that you will abide by for for a week.
Examples include such things as forgoing the letter "E" (thus having the challenge of finding new words to express yourself), making reference to something in every one of your posts (like smurf marines, waffles, or blue vein cheese) or, like I shall be doing, thinking of a new nickname for a member every time I need to post thier name.
Due to forum rules, certain "Dares" are not allowed. these include adopting annoying posting styles (such as posting backward, ALLCAPS, or posting in black text), adopting a style that is unfair for members with english as a second language (like... posting in Elizebethan dialog, or adding an accent to your posts). If you feel your chosen "Dare" will impact the site negitivly... don't do it...
For every week successfully abide by your dare, you score a point. First to five points wins!
To make the competition fairer, players shall all start at the same time (yet to be determined) after signing up with thier Dares. Should you, for whatever reason, decide to BREAK your own Dare, you will be out of the game and your name (and a particularly scathing description of what you did) shall be added to the Wall of Shame.
To keep the site clean and sophisticated, the competition will extend only over the general/game boards. All but the threads in the list bellow are subject to the limit you choose for yourself. If you would like to create a thread that you feel needs to be exemt from the game, simply appeal in a PM to me, and I will add it to the list.
Sign up starts on page three (due to... yeah). Happy posting! ;D
