Dawn of War 2 Multiplayer Units and Abbilties

The carnifex looks like uber pwnage, can't be hurt by small arms fire, which would make a pain to kill. I will probably play with the Hive Tyrant commander the majority of the time I play and second would be the Ravener Alpha. They really pull off the whole Synapse thing, too.

Well, it's an ALPHA Ravener, so it's kind of like the Red Terror or something

I don't think they had much of a choice to make an Ravener Alpha. If there were Genestealers then they could make a Broodlord, but they didn't. An Warrior Alpha doesn't make much since seeing as warriors are already synapse and zoanthropes aren't elite enough to be alpha. They are also too artillery like to be a commander.

Besides, I think the Alpha Ravener opens up a whole batch of new and interesting tactics. Create tunnels that allies can use? Transport devastator marines with heavy bolters to any point on the map you want? Yes please.

Well, the Eldar can build warpgates, which do pretty much the same thing. I'm probably going to use swarm tactics. I also saw a video that I looked at to see the abbilities of each Tyranid, it does as follows:

I thought a Termagaunt was armed with a Fleshbore. Or are they just all called Termagaunts.

Well, the unit is called Gaunt in the codex, with presented examples of Termagaunts and Spinegaunts. I guess DOW2 decided to just call it a Termagaunt, even if it has devourers^^

The Devourers look like they should be fleshbores from what the weapon comes out as.

I agree, but I think that it doesn't really matter. The Tyranids are awesome in the game and are quite will done, I think thats enough. Not to say that your downing the Tyranids of DoW2.
