Okay, so my Blood Bears RP was a complete failure so I figured I may as well just do it as a story instead. Feel free to chip in (although I'd appreciate it if things didn't get ridiculous. I've seen more than one of these stories start off with just SM and 'nids and get blown up to every playable race battling for no decent reason). Same opening as for the failed RP:
+++New orders for Bear-Apothecary Selenius:
++Investigate Space Station Gamma-Five
++Suspected Xenos attack
++Tend to any wounded
++Retrieve Gene-seed of fallen brothers
++Destroy any Xenos encountered with extreme prejudice
++You are authorised to destroy Gamma-Five if necessary through any means necessary
++The Emperor Protects+++
Apothecary Selenius scanned the text multiple times, commiting it to memory. He pressed a button on the console and a vox-caster sprang up.
"Orders confirmed"
The Ork Bane battle barge streaked through space, swerving and launching a boarding pod when it drew near to Gamma-Five.
Selenius and his team of Terminators prepared for the mission ahead, checking their weapons and armour. Suddenly a judder lanced through the pod. They had arrived.
Selenius typed a code into a panel, his fingers moving swiftly over the keys despite his bulky Terminator armour. They heard the screech of metal as the pod burrowed through the hull of the space station.
The doors hissed open, revealing a dark corridor. A large wire hanging from the ceiling sparked and flashed, revealing the devastation before them.
The walls were covered in blood, claw marks and bullet holes. Ceiling panels had fallen to the floor, which was in places corroded and dissolved. Bodies lay everywhere, mostly technicians. Selenius saw two space marine bodies, their armour splattered with blood, obscuring the deep browns of their armour.
Selenius cautiously moved forwards, turning on his shoulder light. His squad followed suit, moving to establish a perimeter. Brothers Elenton and Celetius moved to cover the side passages, each one's heavy flamer ready to fire at a moment's notice. Brother Daedaelus covered the rear, his storm bolter slung and his power fist ready. Brother Markus took point, his assault cannon's barrels spinning, ready to fire.
Selenius set down his storm bolter and leant over the first marine. He was dead. Regretfully, Selenius drew back the bolt on his reductor. He always hated doing this. He pressed it onto the fallen Bear and pulled the trigger. The gene-seed would return to the Chapter.
He moved to the next marine, smiling as he found that the man was still breathing. "What is your name, Brother?"
The Space Marine's eyes fluttered open and he spoke weakly, "Veteran Seargent Elentin, Bear-Apothecary..."
"What happened here, Elentin?"
"Genestealers..."
The squad climbed down the ladder. Brother Markus supported Brother Elentin as they descended. Selenius checked his mission chronometer. They had been searching through this place for two hours and 27 minutes. They had found a few more dead marines in that time, but no genestealers and no other survivors
