Dominatrix WIP

Well, as most of you know, i don't have a digital camera.
The good news is that Christmas is just around the corner and I think Santee Claus (aka: me) will be getting me a digicam.

Oh boy i can't wait!

So anywho i was looking at Hive Fleet Molochs Ouroboro Exocrine and thought to myself: "There has to be some epic tyranid that I can make 40k scale that hasn't been done before....."

thus my destiny was entwined in my fate, and i was inspired.


right now i'm working on some concept sketches, "cant wait for that camera so i can show you them). I feel that this project is going to be HUGE. My main challenge wil be making it look"nid enough". Oh ya just to give you an idea how big im making it, its head will be roughly the size of a hive tyrant, if all goes well.

right now i cant stand it, im getting so many good ideas! i might do a sac o gaunts on the belly of dominatrix....im getting way too ahead of myself here lol...

ive practiced my greenstuff skills and so far the only thing i have trouble modeling is the carapace.

PS: ive heard that miliput is good for making a basic outline of large models. Does anyone know where i can get some? Does Micheals sell it?

Use fex sprues, it will really help

Fex parts will seem scrawny on a model that size, I'd recommend figbashing some Alien Xenomorph models particularly the Alien Queen to make a dominatrix on that scale. To make it more niddy, I'd eliminate the arches that run from the collar bones over the shoulders, and the alien's back details.

Carapace made from uncorrugated cardboard,stiffened with super glue looks really good.

the amount of green stuff it wil take will be massive, so i suggest using modeling clay for inter-skeloten and baking it for money purposes and and enter strength. then covering it in plaster tape and applying a cote of plaster and sandind it with a sanding sponge. then spray a cote of black gloss spray paint followed by a protective gloss cote. this will get rid of the plasters consestinsy, making the green stuff stick to it better and holding it together better.
this is just my opinion.

but as you all know some things are too good to be true

i ended up getting a 360 because my mom said that she would put in 100$. (this is gonna be an uber christmas!)

so ya the camera will have to wait. in the mean time though, ill be sure to make lots of sketches and concept ideas.
