Tyranid conversions from carnifex

Im starting a tyranid swarm and i like to huge tyranid creatures alot, im wondering if anybodys got some ideas on how to convert a carnifex(s) to other creatures like harridian,trygon, or hierodules? ;D

There are a bunch of those around here, actually. Dig through the last couple of pages of posts, or use the search feature up at the top of the page. Off the top of my head, I can think of at least two Trygons, a Hierophant, and I think a couple of different Hierodules. Thlaylie, in particular, has been very prolific in this area.

What could be an idea is if the mods could make a subsection of conversions for competed projects. The subforum could be locked with only the mods allowed to post - so the completed guides would have to be sent to the mods/posted in here already - this would then act as a source of conversion info. If people had questions to ask, they could always pm the user as well

Good Call - well up for that idea. This would make it really simple for pundits like myself to look at what has been previously done by a number of different modellers without the need for the 'does anyone know how to...' type thread.

How about then also creating a slot/folder for each type of conversion i.e Trygon/Hierophant/Hierodule/Carnifex/whatever with sub folders for the various conversions done thus far in that Category?

This would then mean you could pick say, Trygon - 4 sub-folders with a different Trygon modelled in each.

I think to start with, just a single sub-forum would work - the idea being that the posts are more guides and hints, rather than just a long conversions list. though in the end, strategy has quiet a few sticky tactics threads, so it might be done - is there a mod in the house?

Sav the Crushing claws, use any left over caprices you have from the Fex and you can make Old One eye just as easily

Note how his body is slimmer than the standard Fex set up. So what ever you make from your FEX always good to know you could get two models for one easily eh?
