hmm I can't vote twice - personally leathery or bug-like both work equally well with tyranids. I would say that leathery is more common because you get buy the ready made wings, whilst bug-like requires more modelling work - but both a good choices.

Feathers - not so much - they just don't 'feel' niddy enough for nids

Leathery wings are good for normal tyrants, i think, and (in my opinion) bug wings are better for converted nids, that have no legs.

I used Dragonfly type wings on mine, just because most of the Flyrants I've seen use Dragon-style Leathery wings. I agree with Tauranid that the Insectoid wings work better for models where the legs are removed, while Leathery tend to look better on guys who can still walk around.

Tyranids have always looked like emaciated reptiles that just happen to possess insect-like chitin to me. Though I still don't get the hooves...
