they completely pivot up down around, take your pick... I bored out the holes inside of the guns and put a magnet inside both, then cut the tabs off of the little sticky down insidy thing, and bored a place to put another magnet... so there are 3 magnets in each gun, a little overkill, but I wanted it secure
