Tripple t-fex, how would you do it?

I have always liked the tyrannofex and now seems like a good time to bring all 3, mine are built as 2 with rupture and 1 magnetized with spray/rupture. Since I dont own exocrenes I think synaptic nexus is the only way to go.

How would you put together a tripple t-fex list?

3x Acidfex. Overwatch is so good this edition and the range of targets it can shoot at is so much better than being locked into one type. Acidfex benefits greatly from neurothrope +1 to-wound, making the avg damage potential vs T12+ targets roughly the same (Acidfex is less disrupted by invuls). Rupture has too much bounce potential to be considered a good pick, would be a different story if the gun was d6+X damage.

With your current models, Nexus is the way to go. you do seem a little light on anti-infantry though. Trygons could probably go for something a bit more efficient; they score well but 160pts is a bit pricy. Maybe swap them to Mawlocs to add more chances for MWs and BS tests, use the extra points to slot in another neurolictor.

In thinking about anti infantry in synaptic, malwocs also really benefit from the +1 to hit in melee, have more attacks and are the same defensive profile while also cheaper.

I like mawlocs in Nexus, they play real well with the MW strat since nothing else really triggers BS tests in the movement phase. I’ve blasted a few units off the table with the Neurolictor/Mawloc MW combo.

I want to second this. The acid cannon is really threatening and the tfex is tanky enough to require a lot of shooting the bring it down. If you have a vehicle heavy local meta you may want the rupture cannon instead.
