Alex MacDougall's Nid/GSC List for Charity RTT

List came in 3rd or 4th place i'm not 100% sure. Concept is really cool though. Ridgerunners have a 9" scout ability very cheap shooting platforms. 
Won against a competitive IF list but lost to Nanavati's IH list.

HG are basically 3x shooting with sybiostorm and with the ignore -2 ap they're pretty hard to pull off with TFC's. Genestealers force the shots to go on them and he didn't really care about that because he'd just brute force them and use LOS to get them up the board. They still go 7 inches in a turn and thats enough to put them into cover to to zone out areas.

Reminds me of my list, only that instead of sling shot I spam neos and still have exos inside.
Unfortunately only batt (BC) + outrider (HC) + spearhead (Kro) so less cp than him.
but it is nice to see that a slightly different variant also works in high competitive.

Alex is a stud. Had the pleasure of playing him last year and he comes to my events pretty often. Glad to see he is still grinding it with bugs.

Like his new take. Mining laser ridgrerunner with the new points seem like the business in the new meta.

his second game was against RG+WS+IH. That was a victory against Jim Vesals.
Didn't see the first game. seems to have been against IF if I read the first post
correctly. He played three games against sm and won two games of it. he won
both games, where he was not allowed to go first and lost the game where he
was allowed to go first.
The game against nick was bewitched. nine lasers don't manage to kill a tfc and
then an almost incredible positional error with the jackal. although I think it
was more due to the alcohol level. that nick had a wall behind which he
could hide his entire army has also contributed to defeat.

Still a neat list, ridge runner, hiveguard have some potential for a decent backbone of an army. I mean until GW increases ridge runner points.
