Let us be fair for a minute here if we can, it's likely GW never even figured that something like this was possible, being able to kill a knight or a warlord titan for that matter with just 2-3 cheap models in a single phase is quite over powered and they're correcting it for game balance. We can mention GW is bad at nerfing because they're inconsistent and they have absolute (please do not swear) testers, yes they should nerf Imperial and eldar soup spam because it's effecting tournies (which is their justification or nerfing other units) and yes they should spend more time making sure what they are releasing is good before it goes out... I mean the internet figured out this combo pretty fast so I think they could pay someone to check it before it releases.
I think it is fair to say this is a highly powerful combo and needs to be addresses. Is capping Ld at 10 the right move? I'd say not by a long shot, changing the core rules that have been out for over 2 years because of 1 combo is swinging way to hard for a minor thing. Make it harder to cast, it's a powerful... power so it should be difficult to get off. Psykers already have been nerfed so many times if they nerf this next there is no telling what else they'll stop. If the power is too good change the powers not the rules of the game. This would be unreasonable in almost any other setting, it's like saying that a unit in an RTS is too powerful so to address the unit they cripple economy for the entire faction so they cannot produce the unit in great numbers, when instead they should just increasing the production cost of that one unit.
That being said I don't give two squig butts about the knight players complaining that their precious auto-win button unit is getting slagged to scrap. Those try-hards can go cry in a corner for all I care GIT GUD scrubs! But for a more balanced game I'm not opposed to a re-work of the power. At the same time GW really needs to address those same knights that are deleting 2-3 units a shooting phase, it cannot be both ways that one nuke is ok but another is not. That or hell just leave the power as is and let it change the meta around, GW already sold all the knights they're going to, if they become irrelevant for the next 6 months maybe that will be a good thing, let tournies shift from big titan soup to something else for a while.
