Need help choosing a hive fleet or two

hI I'm going to a 2,000 pt tournament in early June. There is a bonus of 2CP if you use the same sub faction i.e. hive fleet for the entire force. The event also penalises duplicates hence 1 flyrant.

I'm planning to run Kraken, but not sure whether to make the Spearhead Kronos or whether Jormungandar or Leviathon would be better for the defensive buffs if I go 2nd. Termagants could go in the spearhead if I go Kronons.

This is the list I plan to take.

25 termagants 15 devourers, 10 fleshborers

Spearhead

After a recent tourney and with the new faq I expect to face more gunlines.

Mawloc seems an odd fit. Otherwise Kronos for the spearhead.

Battalion would be best served by going Kraken or Behemoth, but since they are all foot slogging it, maybe Leviathan.

Yeah Mawloc might get swapped out for a carnifex but he has been doing well in recent games and he gives me a backfield threat from turn 2. I prefer Kraken to Behemoth also the relic is very useful on the flyrant

Yeah, I would swap the mawloc for a C-Fex and put the C-Fex in the batt.
Then split up the biovores.

Problem is 2 biovores in separate units is duplication so costs me 2 cp. If I swapped out the mawloc I'd take a shooty carnifex but not sure how much he would add.

Event rules.

I'd probably go for the CP and make everything Leviathan. Hive Guard and Exocrine could use the Kronos, maybe the potential Carnifex too, but Biovores not as much and 2CP is a whole extra SMA for Guard or Slime for Exocrine.

Edit: Right, rippers are double - are troops exempt from duplication penalty or limited to 2-3 or so? I'd keep the Biovores together and Mawloc/Carnifex in the Spearhead too. Again, CP hog.

Yes the no duplication is a house rule. Basically +2 command points for no duplicates at al and -1 for every duplicate outside of troops so 2 biovore units will cost 3 cp.
The event has standard detachment and battle forged cp +2 for no duplicates and +2 for all same sub faction.
So with detachments and battle forged max for this event is 14 as brigades are banned. My list above currently has 13.
If i take a 2nd hive fleet i would have 11 cp so still pretty good.
If i go with 1 hive fleet though malanthrope can cover any and all units turn 1 which is very useful.
Its making my brain hurt alreadu.

I've been playing solo fleets almost the entire time. If I got +2 CP for that there are no questions asked. Kraken or Leviathan it is.

Switch out the Mawloc with a shooty Carnifex, maybe with a HVC for some more AT shooting.

The whole comp is a big annoying and over complicated imo but to be fair to the TO this was written weeks before the new FAQ and will address the spam issue but is a neater way.

Thanks those are the two I'm considering anyway. I really like the +CP idea for mono hive fleet builds so may suggest it to GW.
