Most unfair list you can think of? 2k

Been asked by a friend to make the most annoying and painful to play against list with no limits (except points, 2k). Give me your best!
It’s all theoretical and i won’t actually be playing it so feel free to include any units you want and any number of the same units. Time to piss some people off!

Ooohhhh, that’s evil. Ignoring legal detachments I have 42 Kronos biovores with venthropes spread out amongst them, and neurothropes providing synapse. 2 lictors for objective taking, and it’s pretty much game. Even if the vores miss a circle of spore mines around the enemy is probably even more annoying! Having a lot of hard to shoot mortal wound spammers sounds painful

Hm, Biovores is probably a good shout. Venomthropes to screen them is a yes - is it worth taking a few independent spore mine units as well purely to place in a loose ring around your 'vores to prevent DS charges?

Okay new thought - if you disregard deployment rules, what about an army comprised entirely of Sporocysts and Biovores, with one Neurothrope at the back to trigger the Synapse daisy chain? Drown them in mines and 5+ devourer hits, with the hulking mass of cysts all at 12W and 6T for only 78 points?

Don't think so? RAW, when a Synapse creature comes in range, Sporocysts gain both Synapse ability and Keyword. If that Synapse creature subsequently moves out of range then your Sporocyst loses the ability and keyword... except if there's two of them or more, because then each counts as a Synapse creature for the other's trigger. At no point can you say that any individual Sporocyst is outside Synapse range unless enough are killed that actual holes open up (which isn't going to happen).

That is DEFINITELY exploiting the wording. If you turn off an electrical generator bulbs don’t stay on because there is another bulb nearby that has electricity in, the whole system loses power. It’s a bad analogy, but you get what I’m saying. I would say it needs an FAQ, but you already know what the result would be 😂

I wouldn't say exploiting, but it's definitely not in the spirit of the rules. Unsure if it's been FAQ'd out already to be honest, it really should be.

But the point of the thread is to come up with an unfair list - and that seems pretty unfair to me!

That is 16 Sporocysts, meaning spore mine generation of 48 per turn passively. Maximum generation of 70 102 [didn't realise Spore Node also spawned 3 mines] per turn if all Biovores miss and somehow every Sporocyst is in range for its Spore Mine weapon. Jormungandr taken as Hive Fleet for the additional protection (more time to spawn mines!) but Kronos, Kraken and Behemoth all have merits.

The worst part, I realised, is that this list is actually legal. Arrange the Neurothrope and Biovores into a Spearhead detachment and then throw in a bunch of Fortification detachments. They don't have any taxes or anything, and there's no actual limit to the number of detachments you can take so far as I can tell. The only things stopping you are Spore Mine models alone costing £15 for 9, the tedium of painting the numbers you'd need slowly driving you insane, and the guarantee that anyone who played you would never speak to you again.
