Fixing my tervigon

Not sure where to put this, but i need your help. I dropped my tervigon and it broke.   one the the scytals broke in half and i cant find the other piee to fix it. Now i have extra Scytals from ither kits, but the problem is how do i remove the broken one? i used regular citadel glue on it, but  need help removing it so i can glue on the new piece.

If you used plastic glue it can be harder.....firstly you can saw off the arm close to the insert point, then you can drill out the rest....
Sometimes if you didn't go to crazy with the plastic glue you can motivate it and snap it out with patience...

If you do need to chop off the arm, you may want to consider drilling a small hole in each part to pin the pieces together for better stability. I remember doing something similar with a bit of a paper clip as a pin before. [With a lot of surface area, I've used paint dots on one piece to allow a careful "dry-fitting" to tell me where to drill the holes]

One of my first hive tyrants (metal) had Bloodthirster legs. Rather than do the whole return thing, I decided to chop and convert and green-stuff the heck out of it to make an interestingly distinctive piece. I used 2 pins to get it reliably stable. I was thinking that an overbalanced scything talon may need strengthening as well if the structure is chopped.

Im not sure what you mean by drilling it out. What kind of drill shoul i use?

By drilling it out I assume he means pinning a model where you drill a small hole into the limb and the body. You then glue a pin (I use paper clip pieces) into the holes so you have that rod to help the glue keep everything in place.

Personally I use a power drill but a hand drill would be more precise. Not so great on harder materials however.

Starting with a small drill bit and you can clean out the socket if you don't go to deep. You can hand drill it or use electric but turn down power lol..
Use a centre punch to get it square and take it slow..

alternatively, if it's regular superglue you can put the model in the freezer. As long as you haven't used a ton of glue the part should snap free once it's frozen (be careful you don't end up removing all the other legs though!)

unfortuantely it was plastic glue

It's actually for this reason that I only use plastic glue for subassembly. The final assembly is always super glue.
