Nids max point at grotscon

So let me start by saying I won best nids at grotscon by default being the only nid player there. But after 3 games I am incredibly sitting at 33 of 33 points. Grotscon is in Alberta and is a 2 day itc event meant to be the most competitive event in Alberta for the year. There are about 64 people at the event. Having said that here's my list and the 3 games I faced.

My list:

3 lictors
2 mucolids
Mawloc

Tyranid hive vanguard
Flyrant with devourers
3 warriors (1 with rending claws)
18 gargoyles with toxin sacs






Game 1:emperors will against tau.

He ran:
Riptide wing
2 yvarnha flamer riptide
Drone network all 4 units of marker drones
3 plasma suits
3 missile suits
1 melta suit
Commander


Game 2: relic against decurion necrons
Lord with fleshbane scythe
2x 10 warriors
10 immortals

Destroyer cult

Game 3: kill points against 3 obsec knight list

Knight archon
Knight warden
Knight errant
3 grav centurion in pod with librarian with hunters eye
Inquisition with servo skulls and 2 plasma guns in a rhino.


I'll upload pics when I can and answer any questions but I'm in disbelief to get 3 max point games with genestealer cult and starter box formation. No Malanthropes or venomthropes.

How did the cult serve?

I'm really curious to hear any tips/play by plays you'd be willing to offer.

K so game 1. Basically I went first and deployed the gargoyles, 3 flyrants and warriors in the center of my deployment zone in a ruin. He hid his entire army in the corner on my right side in a ruin. This enabled me to infiltrate about 15" away out of line of site with everyone.
The 2 stealers and ghosarinfiltrated 1"from everyone with toe in ruin.

He failed to seize the initiative and my turn 1 I ran everyone forward towards him and had the gargoyles swoop forth not scattering cause of the lictor in the front. My magus then joined the gargoyles giving them stealth and shrouded.

In the shooting phase the flyrants killed a squad of marker drones each. I cast invisibility and feel no pain on the gargoyles, as well as onslaught. They then ran spreading out and screening the cult behind them.

Finally the 2 stealers assaulted his commander, died in overwatch from a yvarnha flamer. Then the patriarch charged the commander and takes 2 wounds in overwatch from sms from the riptides and the other yvarnha flamer. But then made the 1"charge and did 2 wounds to his commander who didn't do any in return and stuck in combat.

His turn was brutal, he had all 3 riptides ripple fire and hailstorm so they fired 16 sms each. Stealer cult doesn't like sms. He killed all the aberrants and all the lictors, then the yvarnhas killed all the gargoyles with the str 6 torrent flamer template. Ghosar only does one wound to the commander and hit and runs out

My turn 2 the hybrids assaulted a yvarnha with ghosar losing 4 to overwatch but rending him to death. One Flyrant psychic screamed and did 2 wounds to one of his riptides their shooting killed the plasma suits and the missile suits. My Mawloc tried to hit the marker drones with the commander but scattered right in front of the riptides and popped up.

His turn 2 his 2nd yvarnha flamed all the hybrids and he killed the stragglers including ghosar with sms. Ion cannons did 2 wounds to the mawloc.

My turn 3 I screamed and did 3 wounds to the yvarnha and lascannons took the final wound luckily. The flyrants all targeted his wounded riptide and did 2 wounds leaving him with one left. The mawloc assaulted another riptide which resulted in a slap fight the rest of the game.

His turn 3 his wounded riptide killed himself with overcharge despite being able to reroll so definitely lucky there. His commander and melta suit failed to hit flyrants and his riptide killed 5 "cultists" who passed leadership. My Mawloc hit and run out of combat towards his commander on his emperors will.

Being too far away to get to my emperors will where my warriors were sitting out of line of sight and facing at least 2 more turns of Flyrant shooting my opponent saw the writing on the wall and called the game.

Game 2 relic on crons

I deployed 3 flyrants warriors and gargoyles right up against the deployment line in ruins. He deploys across from me favoring the right side heavily and rolled the infiltrate warlord trait to counter my infiltrate.

Turn 1 I terrify his bikes who actually run away, ghosar assaults his heavy destroyers. My flyrants kill a destroyer from each squad but he passes all ld tests. I did kill 2 praetorians with gargoyle and cultists shooting and the 3 left ran away. The 2 stealers assault his fleeing bikes who regroup and kill one and lose 1 for a tied combat.

His turn the praetorians regroup and the other squad jump into the relic. A squad of warriors assault my gargoyles who I messed up and ds them outside of synapse. Luckily the poison went crazy and I killed 4 warriors and he only killed 3 gargoyles.
His shooting didn't do much as I had 2+ cover in ruins almost army wide. The 2 stalkers instant deathed a lictor with 4 melta shots. His lord charged into ghosar and took a wound before killing him with a fleshbane scythe. My stealer hits and runs out from the bikes.

My turn I charged the aberrants and the hybrids into his immortals with the destroyer lord after paroxism down to ws1. He pops his res orb and withstands 40 rending attacks with zealot and doesn't lose a single guy, Yay necrons. My gargoyles jumped out of combat with the warriors to land by his praetorians with the relic. The mawloc hit the praetorians killing 2 then popping up. The fire from the cultists gargoyles and a Flyrant kill 2 more and a lictor kills the last in cc. My 1 stealer charges 3 destroyers and survived to tie them up for a turn. The 2 flyrants shoot down the 6 remaining warriors from the gargoyle combat.

His shooting didn't do much again as almost everything was in cc and that's pretty much how the rest of the game went with my flyrants unable to shoot down his destroyers and vice versa while everything else was locked in cc and I had a lictor run away with the relic to drop it to the cultists before he got shot down. I eventually was able to whittle him down in cc enough to get max points.

Yes although that was the one game I wanted to go second as his shooting was largely ineffective and I knew flyrants weren't going to do much so I would've reserved them

Didn`t know Necron Lords have access to Fleshbane Warscythes, scary. Is it in the codex, or is it from the Shield of Baal series?

Please write a quick summary on the 3rd game against the Knights too, always wondered how the GSC would fare against a list like that.

It's called voidreaper and this is necron artifact from codex.
