Hey guys,
I've been wanting to make a wraith list for a while and I think I'm going to bite the metaphorical bullet and spend the money of the units I need. But I have some questions that I need answered just so I can get an idea on my list. I'm also gonna throw out a few opinions of things I like so comments on those would be helpful too.
Now first, I want to know if the Iyanden supplement is really null and void at this point. I've seen plenty of posts online stating they are using it in 7th edition. But that could have been before Eldar: Craftworlds and as far as I'm aware, the wording that the supplement is for Codex: Eldar is the only thing stopping me from using it.
Second, the Matchless Agility only comes if I use one of the Guardian Hosts as my primary detachment right? If yes that kinda sucks because personally I don't like any of them. Plus if I'm going for a wraith themed army, I don't want War Walkers and Support Batteries all over the place.
Third, how many Wraithguard/blades should I bring? And should I keep the numbers low (5-6) and bring in Wave Serpents? Maybe 2 squads of each? I personally like the axes just for the extra invul save. I'm thinking either 2 Wraithblades with axes, 1 wraithguard with d-scythes, 1 wraithguard with wraithcannons. OR 1 Wraithblade with axes, 2 Wraithguards with cannons, 1 wraithguard with d-scythes.
Forth, I am not sure what to run with Wraithlords or the Wraithknight. I thought a clean Lord with just the sword would be decent enough but beyond that I'm lost. And for the Knight I am even more lost. I like the 2 options I can get by swapping out the 2 Heavy wraithcannons. And obviously it would be for whichever role I'd want the knight to play (long distance support or melee). Opinions on the shoulder mounted guns?
Fifth, Hemlock Fighter? Looks good to me on paper.
Lastly, I want to use the Wraithseer from FW as my second HQ. It a tougher and meaner Wraithlord that can give Wraithlords/Guards FNP or fleet and comes with a bunch of other goodies.
So any ideas would be great. Aaaaand go!
