Contents of Blood Angel vs. Tyranid Campaign box

I'm uninspired. I have enough gaunts. I have enough warriors (too many really). I have enough lictors. The prime intrigues me, but I already have a custom model. I'm not paying $110+/- for another Prime. I have no idea what GW is thinking. Once again they prove they have no idea how Tyranids play. Those lictors are the only thing that can work on the Dreadnaught and it's gonna pop them in combat.

For a guy who didn't buy the new Guard or Warrior boxes, I don't hate this. Plus, maybe a mini rulebook?

hah, I thought the same thing. Well..if all three lictors jump the dred at the same time, maybe the nids have a shot.

I'll probably actually grab that. I want another Assault Squad, and I know I can find something cool to do with the Death Company and Furioso, I'd love to get some proper Lictors (especially if this means they're being redone in plastic) instead of just using my CC Warriors, and I didn't magnetize either of my Primes, and there are options I'd like to be able to roll with that they don't have.

As with that extra copy of Dark Vengeance I got, I'm sure I can find someone to sell the mini rulebook to, and that'll bring the price down significantly.

Well i be grabbing it. Love the new warriors sculpt and if this be the time for me to grab that, a limited edition prime, potential plastic lictors, Berserker space vampires and a furioso Dread then i will go for it .

The warriors and gaunts will eat the marines for breakfast (unless they giving death company a mighty buff with the new dataslate) but the dread will be a pain if i am playing nids.

I've been wanting to get some new warriors to make Shrikes with, so I would buy this for sure.

That being said, this is probably 5% chance of being true. They are not going to put in FC lictors in that box. You're more likely to see a single Carnifex (which would be great for me as well).

Lictors look out of place.

Personally, I think Hive Guards would be expected (as form of some anti-tank). Doubt it will be carnifex - although cool, there's no way GW will either put full optioned carnidex there, or make totally new model.

without a doubt i will be getting it. I play both Blood Angels and Tyranids so i expect this campaign will be pricey as I will be buying all the books for it.

Some food for thought- There is not a current plastic lictor kit so I question that. I doubt GW would release plastic lictors in the campaign set. The 2 LE characters should be enough draw to sell the box. that also being said, plastic lictors would be amazing! I would love to pick up a few more just for fun games.

Would Hive guard be a nice fit instead of lictors? hive guard could pop that dread.

of course it's all speculation. I am kind of waiting for Lords of Wargaming to chime in on the contents. This whole campaign and new kits have been their rumor and others have been kind of feeding of it.

Does anyone know the retail value of the Stormclaw models? this model count seems a big high to me doesn't it? i'd expect this campaign box to be at the same price point ~$130

I did price out the Stormclaw models on Faeit's blog after that odd div Seb said it was a (please do not swear) deal. It was a hefty saving, something like 40% for the whole lot including the SRB.

I've got a buddy who plays BA, so I am going to work on him to split this one with me (assuming the rumor is true, which is a big if). Plastic lictors would be nice, and I can always use more gaunts. Named Prime is a big draw, especially if it has better rules than the current prime (another big if). Warriors are kind of meh, but I've been thinking about making some Shrikes, so it's all good. This looks like a winner for me, especially if it has a nice built-in discount.

honestly, i feel pretty good about the rumor. Lords of wargaming is 8/8 or so and hit all the releases since June. now that i said that, i jinx'd it of course.

THey have not said what the contents would be though so i would take that unit list with some salt.

I guess it all comes down to price and what the rules/formations are.

Also plastic Lictors does sound nice modelling wise for those who don't have any. For me, I only have one, would like to have more. It all comes down to price and if they were in plastic.

I'm expecting GW to troll all of the owners of the old limited Lictor, from the 4th edition Mega Force, and release three plastic versions in this new box.
