Potential 2000 list of all models I have bought half built

Hello this is all the models I have that add up to 2000 with wargear etc. anything I should buy in peoples opinions or even not use?? Been playing my 1000 list for past few weeks and painting up before building more.

HQ
One flyrant with twin linked devourers brainleech worms.
One flyrant with Lash whip bone sword, adrenal glands, toxic sacs.

ELITE
Two zoanthropes.
Two venomthropes.

Troops
20 termagants (10 devourers 10 fleshborers).
20 termagants (10 devourers 10 fleshborers).
3 warriors (rending claws and devourers).
3 warriors (rending claws and devourers).

Heavy
3 carnifexs with twin linked devourers brainleech worms and adrenal glands.
Mawloc with acid blood.
Tyrannofex with acid spray and adrenal glands.

IMO AG on flyrants are points better used elsewhere. Depending on your opponents, debate between the zoanthropes and the warriors, as they both provide synapse, having the extra full brood of warriors with the lesser weapons could be changed out. Lastly, for the heavies, if the mawloc acid blood is for points filling, sure, but in general with its' WS, I think most folks (I don't run them at all) favor their pop-up template attacks more than much actual CC. Take some of those points and change Mr. Tfex to a rupture cannon, AG optional.

For additional models, start looking in your Fast Attack area. A Crone of Harpy would compliment your list well, or perhaps some raveners for speed - I'd favor another flyer.

Over-all, looks like a good shooting army that moves up the board. I suggest on the Tfex the change as it adds more AP to your list. Currently the zoanthropes only cover that , although the amount of fire is good.

Hello black rainbow thanks the advice, I have changed the cc flyrant to twin linked dev blw which works loads better swooping shooting.
Hive crone sounds great after looking at the rules for it!
I took acid blood on mawloc to just top up points I case it got in cc and was overwhelmed.
Have you had any success with rupture cannon then I'm just put off because of ap not being 2?? Also bs3??
Any reason why you don't take mawlocs??
Tempted to get hive guard with impaler cannons or exocrine.

BS3 does suck, so most folks I know avoid it (me included). I say rupture cannon for the range, 48" vs template. That's shooting from the start! Also, Assault 2.

I don't take mawlocs (though I am proxying one next game) as I have one trygon prime built that is almost exclusively used in a thematic story driven army list (Hive Fleet Blackrainbow... that creature is my Blackrainbow). So no real reason I haven't used one yet.

Grab some of the medium bases and try a few games proxying the hive guard, see how you like them. I'm still building mine, but the stumps that are legs do a nice job.

Hey yeah I was into the rupture cannon because it looked enormous and the fluff story said tank killer. I have found in games that the vehicle damage chart 1-4 is just snap shoots, 5 weapon destroyed, 6 immobilised. I prefer the dice to get more glances instead of penetrating. I will try out the rupture cannon before gluing the weapon on.

I was well into the trygon prime model I think it's what made me choose tyranids, but are costly and people don't rate them since smash rules changed?

The hive gaurd do look cool! 6 shoots hitting on 4+ then strength 8 ap4 without line of sight does sound cool at 24" Shane it's not ap3! Love to just take out space marines without saves lol

Cheers. It is a great aspect of the hobby. Expands so much, and allows for some fun swaps that you would never normally do. Also, saves $$.

To slightly expand on magnetization, general tools and supplies needed will be:

1. Green Stuff (GS) or similar two-part epoxy putty.
2. Super glue, as opposed to plastic glue. Your local hobby shop will carry both - often come in different thicknesses such as thin/fine, medium, and a thick/gap-fill type.
3. Pin-vice <http://miniatures.about.com/od/toolsforminiatures/qt/pinvice.htm>
4. Dremel tool. As opposed to drills with a pointed tip, Dremel have flat tips with is nice. The smallest they go I believe (and the only one I have) is the 3cm x1cm - also fits snugly into my pin-vice. This is for making holes for magnets in thin or smaller bits. It (3cm) also fits perfectly in my preferred magnet size.
5. Lastly, of course, are the magnets themselves. There are a plethora of them out there, but the rare-earth are pretty common, standard, and inexpensive (IF you buy them online, local hobby shops charge out the wazoo. Seriously, it's like $5 vs $15 sometimes, get them from amazon or similar). For these, measure the joining area (arms, guns, heads, sometimes wings)and write them down in both US standard (inches) and metric. Some companies display in one or the other, sometimes both, so it's best to be prepared.

Lastly, remember that unless your putting in metal plates (totally doable but a headache) in one side, magnetization requires two per part. So a pack of 50 magnets will cover 25 joinings, less if your making load-outs on one model, like a hive tyrant.

In closing, the last two bits that I would recommend are using some non magnetic tools like toothpicks to help manouver the magnets w/o them sticking to your Dremel or drill, hobby knife or similar tools; and a lastly, a magic marker. Use this to mark the magnets (or a dab of paint from your least used bottle) so you don't glue them in with incompatible polarizations. That sucks.

If you put AG on the flyrant, keep it swooping and jink anything needed en route to the rumble then. I don't, and rarely see folks listing melee flyrants here, so may have jumped the gun in saying remove it. Yautja is right, AG=anything assault.

Don't need to swoop to be able to jink (I think?). Plus, if you swoop you can't assault that turn.
