Deadalous is a small imperial classed Death World on the fringes of Imperium controlled space. Death Worlds usually being of little to no importance, Deadalous is a unique exception to the rule. A Magos and his own legions and PDF have set up a small City stronghold on Deadalous. The purpose of the stronghold is of extreme importance to the Imperium and all its allies, for the Magos on Deadalous believes he has found the data for a lost Titan STC and is constantly working to de-corrupt, re-assemble and encrypt the Titan plans for transport to Mars itself. Unfortunately for Deadalous and it's defenders the Tyranids have come. They are many and they are hungry. There might not be time to leave with the STC alive.
Hello everyone, I have started a campaign half way through the summer involving Space Wolves, Imperial Guard and of course Tyranids (Myself). The campaign is mostly me against the world, (Tyranids just have issues I guess.) so I have decided it would be a good idea to collect my lists and thoughts on the Campaign all in one place. I hope you all can enjoy and maybe offer some advice or thoughts of your own.
Game #1
880 Draw
Hq-
.Hive Tyrant
-BoneLash
-Stranglethorn
-Hive Commander
Troops-
.Hormagaunt Brood
-22 Bases
.Termagant Brood
-20 Bases
-20 Devourers
.Genestealer Brood
-10 Bases
-Broodlord
Elites-
.Hive Guard
-2 Bases
.Venomthrope
.Zoanthrope Brood
-2 Bases
Game #1 was pretty much planet fall. The objective was the team of Imperials got a Victory Point for each wound caused and I got a point for each wound caused plus another point for each model/wound I moved off of my opponents table edge. We had a rule that I could not outflank my units within 15 inches of my opponents table edge.
The game itself was pretty close, the tyrant caused 8 guard casualties with his Cannon, then killed 3 wolf guard in combat. I ended up loosing the genestealers to guard after outflanking. (Never doing that again with stealers) and the hormagaunts were mobile cover for the meaty things. Zoans did little except for synapse. Venomthrope Died (always dies, he's sooo good.) My termagants outflanked and wiped out a guard platoon squad and then proceeded of the table.
At the end we were within 3 points so we labeled it a draw. I've learned that Genestealers are better for infiltrating than outflanking and that I miss my Mycetic Spores (poor Zoans). The stranglethorn cannon has proven beautiful against guard infantry and useless against space marines. Spacemarines were the Heroes of the Imperiums force (Who knew?) gaunts bounced harmlessly off power armor and only the tyrant was a real threat to them this game and only in CC (Though he did wreck those wolf guard before they could strike back. The Wolf Lord got to fight.)
Next game was a little more Hairy.
